As the name suggests, the game comes with a Mayan theme, which is of course a theme that has been used a lot. Hacksaw just made it a little more dark than usual.

The special Stackway symbols can appear on all reels. When one or more these symbols land it will fill the reel with between 2 and 10 normal paying symbols.
It will always pick the best symbol that will create the best win. If more than one combinations are possible, it will pick one of them at random.
Of course because of these special Stackway symbols, the number of ways can increase a lot. All the way up to 100.000 ways.
Stack Spins
When you get exactly 3 scatter symbols you will trigger 10 Stack Spins.
During these spins there is a bigger chance of landing Stackway symbols. But there is also an extra symbol in play, the Reel Activator.
When a Reel Activator lands, that reels becomes red and is guaranteed to land a Stackway symbols from then on.
3 scatter symbols during free spins will add 4 more spins.
Mayan Gold Bonus Spins
When you land exactly 4 scatter symbols you will trigger the Mayan Gold bonus.
During these spins you are only able to land coin symbols, multiplier symbols, a collect symbol and Stackway symbols.
Each coin that lands will award values between 1 and 1.000 times. These are added together above the reels. A multiplier symbol which will have a value of x2, x3, x4 or x5, will multiply the collected value on top of a reel.
When a Stackway symbol appears, it will fill the entire reel with coins, with the values collected during the spins. This reel can no longer collect any more coins and is locked. Except when a collect symbol appears, this will collect all coins from locked reels and opens the reels up again.
When all reels are locked the bonus ends and all coins are added together and multiplied by your total bet. If you had a collect symbol, that amount is also added.

If you manage to get 5 scatter symbols, you will start the Mayan Gold Bonus which each reel starting with 50x.

Verdict
I like this game a lot. Of course the theme is nothing new, but I do like how Hacksaw made it a little more dark. It works great.
The base game is already pretty interesting because of those Stackways, which can massively increase the ways and your win.
And also both bonuses are amazing. Choosing which one I like the best is hard. There both amazing and can give some big rewards.
I know the buying of all the bonuses can feel overwhelming, but of course you can just ignore this if you like. It can become costly when things won’t land the way you like.
Overall Hacksaw created an amazing new game which I would definitely give a try.
