You will find 5 reels that are each 3 symbols high and the game uses 243 ways. Meaning that winning symbols pay from left to right, starting on reel 1, no matter where the symbols are on the reels.
Besides low paying card symbols you will also find different members from the pirate crew. There are also wild symbols on all reels. Besides these normal paying symbols, there are also scatter and bonus symbols. The scatter symbols only appear on reels 1, 3 and 5. The bonus symbols appear on all reels.

Helms of Luck
Each time one or more bonus symbols, which are ships wheels, appear on the reels, they are collected on top of the reels in a progress bar.
When the progress bar is fully filled, you will trigger the Helms of Luck bonus. The game doesn’t say how many bonus symbols are needed to fill the progress bar, but it seems that it’s between 15 and 20 of them.
You are awarded 8 tokens which can be used on three different wheels, all with their own prizes.
- Blue – Costs 1 token and can award prizes between x2 and x15 times bet
- Green – Costs 3 tokens and can award prizes between x5 and x50 times bet and free spins feature
- Purple – Costs 5 tokens and can award prizes between x10 and x100 times bet and free spins feature
You get to pick how you spend your tokens yourself. The bonus ends when you have no more tokens. If you manage to land on free spins, these are played after the Helms of Luck bonus is over.

Verdict
I really like this game! I think the theme works very well. It’s not as dark as Rage of the Seas. It’s more fun and colorful and I especially like the graphics during free spins when they all go under water.
The features are also done well. The Helms of Luck bonus isn’t hard to trigger since that progress bar seems to fill up pretty regularly. And of course there are free spins where you get to pick your own feature. Which I can always appreciate. I personally love the colossal wilds the best. But of course that’s different for each players.
Maximum payout might not be as huge as we see these days, with all those extremely high volatile games, but then again, this is a medium volatile game. Which I applaud, we need more of these lout there.
