Baron Lord of Saturday Overview
Play’n Go released a new online slot game that seems to be their Halloween release called Baron Lord of Saturday.
At first I thought, what a weird name for an online slot game, but I found out that Baron Saturday is the English version of the spirit of the dead in Haitian Voodoo. So it makes sense now.
The game comes with a very nice looking color scheme where the reels are set against a graveyard. It feels a bit of a graffiti look, but also very cartoon like.
You will 5 reels that are each 4 symbols high and the game comes with 20 paylines.
Besides low paying suits symbols on small pots, you will also find medium to high paying symbols like voodoo dolls and of course also Baron Saturday. Wild symbols can appear on reels 2, 3 and 4 only. And lastly the bonus symbols, which appear on reel 1 and 5.
Baron Lord of Saturday comes with a maximum payout of 3.500 times your bet and is a medium to high volatile slot game.
Features
Random Wilds and Expanding Wilds
Wild symbols can appear on reels 2, 3 and 4 only.
But there is also the possibility that on any spin, between 3 to 6 random wilds symbols will be added.
Lastly, above reels 2, 3 and 4 you will see a skull. On any spin one of these skulls can become active during the base game. If a wild symbols lands on that specific reel, the wild symbol will expand to cover the entire reel.
Free Spins Feature
Getting both bonus symbols at the same time on reels 1 and 5 will trigger 8 free spins.
Free spins starts with wild symbols having a x2 multiplier. Each bonus symbols appearing during free spins are collected and each time you have collected 4 of them you will be awarded with 3 more free spins and the wild multiplier will go up. From x2 to x3, x5 and finally x10.
After reaching the final level, no more bonus symbols appear and no more extra spins can be won.
Expanding wilds can also still trigger during free spins, but now 1, 2 or all 3 skulls can become active.
Verdict
I like the look of Baron Lord of Saturday. I think the colors and graphics are just nice looking and very fitting with the theme.
The features aren’t anything new, but are also nicely done. The random wilds and expanding wilds appear a lot and during free spins the increasing multiplier is a nice added bonus.
Baron Lord of Saturday is nothing really special. But I’m also not disappointed, I think it’s just a fun little game, great to give a try during the Halloween season, but probably forgettable after that.
