So I was surprised they released a new game in this series Parthenon – Quest for Immortality. An almost similar slot game but now with an ancient Greek theme.
Parthenon – Quest for Immortality comes with 6 reels which are 4, 5, 5, 5, 5, 4 symbols high. And comes with 10.000 ways. The reels feature normal paying symbols and free spins symbols.
This slot game also uses an avalanche feature which means winning symbols are removed and new symbols fall on top.
Wild Creation
If any of the top 4 symbols on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 are used in a winning combination. These symbols are removed and then become wild symbols.
These symbols will now act as any other symbols and are removed if used in a winning combination. But this wild creation can happen several times during the same spin if the top symbols are kept being used.
Free Spins Feature
3 scatter symbols will award 8 free spins. Any extra scatter symbol will add 4 more free spins.
During free spins a multiplier will become active which will go up by x1 each time a wild symbol is created, up to a maximum of x20.
Also special symbols can be collected during free spins, each time you collect 3 you will get 2 more free spins.
Verdict
Parthenon – Quest for Immortality is the same as Pyramid – Quest for Immortality but now with a free spins feature, an Egyptian theme and no multiplier during normal spins.
I am not sure why NetEnt decided to release this one? I don’t think it’s different enough from the original. But maybe a lot of players never even tried or seen the original. So now they are introduced.
