Pineapple Crush Overview
Only 2 months ago Quickspin released a new slot game called Temple of Paw. Which was an Asian inspired game with cascading symbols and increasing multipliers.
Now, 2 months later, they have released Pineapple Crush. Which is the exact same game, just with a different theme.
This one has more of a cocktails in Miami kind of feel. With a lot of neon colors and different fruits. Perfect for this hot summer we are having.
You will find 5 reels that are each 3 symbols high and the game uses 20 paylines.
Besides low paying card symbols you will also find medium and high paying fruit symbols. There are also wild symbols on all reels and a golden scatter symbol, which also appears on all reels.
Pineapple Crush comes with a nice maximum payout of 7.333 times your bet and is a high volatile slot game.
Features
Tumbling symbols and increasing multiplier
The game uses tumbling symbols. This means that all winning symbols are removed from the reels, all remaining symbols fall down and new symbols fall on top. This can create several winning combinations in a row.
During the base game, each winning tumble will increase a general multiplier by x1. After all winning tumbles are done, this is reset back to x1.
Free Spins
3, 4, 5 or 8 scatter symbols will award 7, 10, 15 and 22 free spins respectively.
Before free spins start you are able to game your free spins up to 22 free spins if you haven’t gotten 6 scatters. But this can also mean you lose all free spins.
During free spins the multiplier will go up by x1 for each winning symbol that is removed from the reels, not for each tumble. So the multiplier goes up a lot faster. And also doesn’t reset between free spins.
3, 4 or 5 scatter symbols during this feature will add 3, 5 and 7 extra free spins respectively.
Bonus Buy
This slot game also offers the option to buy free spins for 100 times your bet. This will guarantee a minimum of 3 scatters.
Verdict
Pineapple Crush is the exact same game as Temple of Paw. So my review is also the same.
The only difference is the theme. And to be honest, I thought the Asian theme was more relaxing, easy going. This theme is more colorful, maybe even more in your face. But it does fit perfectly in the summer.
For the gameplay it’s all the same. The increasing multiplier that is active during both the base game and during free spins is a nice addition. But during the main game you won’t get high multipliers. During free spins however, the multiplier can go up pretty fast and pretty high. Which makes for big wins. And somehow scatters seem to appear much more often during free spins, which also adds more free spins regularly.
Overall a great game, even though it’s an exact clone of an earlier title. But maybe some have missed Temple of Paw or just like this neon theme better.
