Of course it’s time for another “Big Bass” release from Pragmatic Play and Reel Kingdom. I mean it’s been more than a month since Big Bass Raceday Repeat was released.
So now we have Big Bass Trophy Catch. A new slot that uses the classic fishing theme of Big Bass. With a sort of three pots mechanism added.
The game uses 5 reels which are each 3 symbols high and comes with 10 paylines.
You will find normal low paying card symbols and medium to high paying fishing symbols. There are also, of course, fish symbols, which can appear stacked on all reels and come with cash values. Wild symbols only appear during the free spins feature. Scatter symbols can appear on all reels.
Big Bass Trophy Catch has a maximum payout of 5.000 times your bet and is a high volatile slot game.

Free Spins Feature
On the left of the reels you will find 3 different fisherman. Each time 2 scatters appear, they will be collected by one of the three fisherman. And at random can trigger the specific feature, awarding 10, 15 or 20 free spins.
3, 4 or 5 scatter symbols that land on the reels will also award 10, 15 and 20 free spins respectively.
Wild symbols now appear during free spins. Each wild that appears is collected into a meter on top of the reels. Every 4th collected will add 10 more free spins and also increase the multiplier of that wild by x2, x3 and finally x10. The added 10 spins are played after the current round ends.
When a scatter symbol appears during free spins it is collected by one of the three fisherman and this can now randomly become active, awarding an added modifier and between 1 and 5 extra free spins.
The modifiers are:
- All Wins x2
- More Fish symbols on the reels
- More Wild symbols on the reels
When there are fish but no wild, or wilds but no fish, random features might occur adding the thing that you miss.

For 100 times your bet you can buy the normal free spins. For 300 times your bet you can buy free spins with all three modifiers active.
Verdict
I started off by saying that it’s already a month ago since the last Big Bass release, which of course was sarcastic. Because let’s be honest, are they ever going to stop with this series? Or are we going to see more and more clones, reskins and slightly different games this year? I am guessing the latter.
When I saw this game, I thought, oh it’s a three pot version, so this one must be different. Well, not really. The three pots all award free spins, just a different number, same as if you get 3, 4 or 5 scatters. It’s only possible to trigger free spins with 2 scatters now. But a lot of Big Bass slots already had that option, just in a different way.
During free spins these pots can award modifiers. Which is a nice touch. But again, already available on several Big Bass slots, again in a different way.
So overall, Big Bass Trophy Catch is nothing new and doesn’t bring anything exciting or unique to the series.
