It really has been a while since I last reviewed a Megaways slot. It seems that the trend had cooled down a lot lately. Bit I have been reviewing a lot of Thee Pot slot games. And now it’s time for a Megawats slot and Three Pots slot, combined into one, called Dragon Pots Megaways.
This Pragmatic Play slot uses a dragon theme set within what seems to be Merlin and knights of the round table. You will see reels set within the dragon’s lair. And symbols like knights, eggs and a wizard.
The game uses 6 reels which are between 2 and 7 symbols high during each spin, awarding up to 117.649 ways per spin.
Besides low paying card symbols you will also find medium and high themed symbols like knights and a dragon. Wild symbols can also appear on all reels. Lastly there are three differently colored scatter symbols, which correspond with the three pots on the right of the reels.

As I mentioned above, there are three differently types of scatter symbols corresponding with three different pots next to the reels.
Each time one or more of these scatters land, they are collected into the corresponding pot. These pots can randomly trigger free spins with the corresponding modifier active that triggered the bonus. One, two or all three pots can trigger at the same time. When more than one modifier is active, they are combined within the free spins.
10 free spins are awarded with the following modifiers:
- Blue – Wild modifier – adds between 1 and 5 wild symbols to the reels on each spin
- Green – Multiplier modifier – adds a random multiplier of between x2 and x10 on each spin
- Gold – Bonus modifier – wild symbols may come with a cash value of between 2x and 200x bet and are instantly collected
If a multiplier isn’t active during free spins, it can become active. When this happens, you get 5 extra free spins.

For 100 times bet you are able to buy the free spins feature with between 1 and 3 modifiers active. For 650 times bet you can buy free spins with all three modifiers guaranteed active.
Verdict
To be honest, I think it’s a nice touch that Pragmatic Play combined Megaways with the Three Pot feature. It works well. Even though the Megaways don’t use a tumbling reels mechanism.
As with all these types of slots, they all work the same. Trigger the bonus with 1, 2 or all 3 modifiers active. And as always, having all three active will really boost your win chance a lot. And makes the feature a lot more exciting.
The theme is also nicely done and works well.
Overall Dragon Pots Megaways is one of the better Three Pots slot games out there today.
