Reactoonz 100 – Overview
One of the more popular slot series from Play’n Go are the Reactoonz games. The original already had a Reactoonz 2 and also a Gigantoonz release. And now it’s time for Reactoonz 100. Which fits with their 100 series, which are usually more extreme versions of the original slots.
This new version uses the same cute looking aliens, but does have an even more alien theme, where the background is set in deep space.
The game uses a grid of 7 by 7 symbols and comes with a cluster pays mechanism. Five or more of the same symbols that are horizontally and/or vertically connected, count as a winning combination. And winning combinations are removed, where new symbols fall on top, creating the option for several wins within the same spin. I will refer to this as reactions.
There are 4 small characters, which are the low paying symbols and these all have a big, or grown, counterpart, which are the high paying symbols. There is also the possibility for wilds on the reels, more on that below.
Reactoonz 100 comes with a big maximum payout of 10.000 times your bet and is a highly volatile slot game.
Features
Fluctuation
Each spin one random low paying symbol is picked as the fluctuating symbol. When a winning cluster is made with this symbol, it will be removed and leaves behind two wild symbols.
Instability
After each non winning spin there is a change that between 4 and 8 random wilds are added to the reels.
Energized Toon
The game starts with a x1 multiplier. Each winning cluster with low paying symbols that us removed, will increase this multiplier by x1. Each winning cluster with high paying symbols will increase this multiplier by x3.
This multiplier is added to a random symbol after each new reaction and only multiplies a winning cluster it’s part of.
Quantum Charger
On the right of the reels you will find the Quantum Charger. Each winning symbol is collected into that meter. And each time you have collected 25 of them, a meter is filled. The first 4 meters are a random feature from the ones below, the fifth meter is always the Gargantoon. The features trigger when no more wins appear.
- Implosion – will transform between 3 and 6 symbols into wild symbols and destroys all adjacent symbols
- Incision – will put a wild symbol in the center of the grid and creates two diagonal lines with the same randomly picked symbol, which can also be a wild
- Demolition – will destroy all low paying symbols from the reels
- Alteration – will pick one random low paying symbol and all those symbols on the reels are changed into one and the same other random symbol
Gargantoon
The fifth meter on the Quantum Charger is always The Gargantoon.
When this triggers, 8 random wild symbols will be placed on the reels, after all reactions, it will change into two 2×2 wild symbols and then again into 1 big 3×3 wild symbol.
Verdict
Reactoonz 100 keeps everything what made the original so popular. But it adds that increasing multiplier and also a much bigger maximum win.
The way the Gargantoon is added is reversed. Here you get the smaller ones, that will become the big one. And the original did it the other way around.
But for any player that is familiar with Reactoonz, this version is just a little evolved.
I have always loved Reactoonz. The follow-ups, not really for me somehow, even though they are great games. But this one comes so close to the original, that I really like this one.
