Stepping Diamonds Overview
Play’n Go released a new online slot games called Stepping Diamonds.
This game comes with a basic, or classic slot theme with symbols like sevens, fruit and bars.
You will find 5 reels that are each 3 symbols high and the game uses 20 paylines.
Besides low paying fruits symbols and high paying “gambling” symbols you will also find wild symbols. There are no scatters, but there are special diamonds on all reels. More on those below.
Stepping Diamonds comes with a maximum payout of 4.000 times bet and is a medium volatile slot game.
Features
Step ‘n Win
During each spin you will see a wheel above the reels that will land on a number between 1 and 5.
When a special Diamond lands that has a golden edge, it will trigger the Step ‘n Win Feature. All diamonds in view will have their values increased by the number on the wheel. After this all values are awarded.
Lock ‘n Spin
6 or more diamonds will award the Lock ‘n Spin feature. 6 diamonds will award the reels 3 symbols high, 7 diamonds, the reels will be 4 symbols high and 8 or more diamonds will award the reels 5 symbols high.
You are awarded with 3 spins that reset each time one or more new diamonds land. The Step ‘n Win feature is also active during these spins.
If you manage to fill up all reels, you are awarded with a 5 Step ‘n Win bonus.
Verdict
To be honest, this isn’t really my type of game and also isn’t that interesting.
It’s one of those classic looking slot games with a Hold & Lock feature. Like we’ve seen dozens of times before already. And the small twist are those steps, but they are also not that interesting in my opinion.
Overall I think this is a slot game for a specific type of players that likes those old school looking games and enjoy Hold & Spins slots a lot. For me, it’s a pass.
