They went with a western theme that looks a bit like the style of a videogame like Red Dead Redemption, which I think is a cool look and a bit different than normal. The reels are set inside some kind of wooden structure against the background of a western town.
The game uses 6 reels that are 3, 4, 4, 4, 4 and 3 symbols high, which gives players 2304 ways, instead of normal paylines. Meaning that all symbols pay left to right, starting on reel 1, no matter where on the reels.
Besides standard card symbols you will also find symbols like boots, guns and a sheriff’s star. Besides this there are also special wild/scatter symbols. These are 4 different characters which only appear on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5.
When 1 or of 2 of these symbols appear, they counts as wild symbols, when 3 or 4 of these symbols appear, thet count as scatter symbols and will trigger a free spins bonus, but won’t act as a wild.
The Wild Gang comes with a nice maximum payout of 10.000 times your bet and is a very high volatile slot game.

Mystery symbols
Mystery symbols can appear on any spin during the base game and during free spins. Once the reels stop spinning, all instances of these symbols will chance into one and the same regular paying symbol.
Free Spins Features
3 or 4 scatter symbols during the base game will award 8 free spins. But when you trigger the bonus with 4 scatters you will play the free spins with 4096 ways, instead of the normal 2304 ways.
Wild symbols still land on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5. The first time a specific wild symbol, associated with it’s own reel, appears, it will come with a x2 multiplier. The second time it lands it comes with a x3 multiplier. After that the specific wild doesn’t have a multiplier anymore. (if you triggered the bonus with 4 scatters, the second wild comes with a x4 multiplier).
These multipliers are collected and will stay active until the end of the free spins. Each new multiplier will multiply the active number.
when all 4 wild symbols appear at least once you are awarded with 2 more free spins. When all 4 have appeared a second time you will get another 2 more free spins. You can’t trigger more free spins than this.
Bonus Buy
Some casinos will offer the option to buy free spins with 3 scatters for 80 times your bet and with 4 scatters for 200 times your bet.
Verdict
I have to say that I really like this game. Although a western theme isn’t my favorite theme, it somehow works very well and looks amazing.
But I mostly enjoy that free spins feature. The multiplier can go up really high and when you add some nicely placed mystery symbols, which seem to be appearing more often during free spins, this is guaranteed huge wins.
The fact that 3 or 4 scatters offer more ways is nice, but I didn’t even notice it at first. The free spins with only 3 scatters is just as interesting, in my opinion.
Overall an amazing release from Pragmatic Play.
