Wild West Gold Megaways Overview
Now Wild West Gold is the original game that gets a Megaways version.
Wild West Gold Megaways uses 6 reels that are between 2 and 7 symbols high during each spin. This will give a between 64 and 117.649 ways per spin.
The game uses a western theme with standard card symbols, guns and money bags, several bandits or maybe bank robbers and a sheriff. You will also find scatter symbols on all reels and special wild symbols on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 only. These wild symbols will have a random multiplier of x2, x3 or x5 every time they land.
Wild West Gold Megaways comes with a maximum payout of 5.000 times your bet, which is the standard with a lot of their slot games.
Wild West Gold Features
Free Spins Feature
3 or more scatter symbols will award 7 free spins.
During free spins all wild symbols that land will become sticky wild symbols and will stay on the reel until the end of the bonus.
They will also keep their multiplier.
Reel can still show more or less symbols each spin, the wild symbol will just move along with the changing reel.
During free spins there are no normal scatter symbols. Scatter symbols are now overlayed over normal symbols in the form of a small sheriff badge. 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 of these during free spins will add 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 extra free spins respectively.
I don’t mind when providers create a Megaways version of an original game. I also understand why they would do it, especially when the original slot is very popular.
I do however feel that the game needs something extra. An extra feature or bonus or if that’s not the case, at least a much higher payout possibility. And Wild West Gold Megaways doesn’t do any of them. The game is exactly the same as the original and only has the added Megaways. But the game also has a lower maximum payout than the original. This one goes up to 5.000 times your bet, the original to 6.750 times your bet.
And to be honest, 5.000 times your bet for a Megaways slot is low, very low.
Wild West Gold and now also this Megaways version is a fun game with a cool free spins feature. But the Megways version didn’t need to be released, in my opinion.
