Play’n Go released a new train themed slot game called Track n’ Gold.
A game with a giant train going through, what seems to be the Grand Canyon. One of those classic looking train themed slots.
The game uses 5 reels that are each 3 symbols high and comes with 20 lines.
Besides low paying card symbols and medium to high paying train themed symbols, you will also find scatter symbols on reels 2, 3 and 4 only. Then there are golden coins, which can appear stacked on all reels. Wild symbols can only appear due to a special feature, explained below.
Track ‘n Gold comes with a nice maximum payout of 5.500 times your bet and is a medium volatile slot game.
Features
Random Wilds
During any base spin between 4 and 11 random wilds can be added to the reels, after which the reels stop spinning.
Hold & Win
This feature triggers when you land 6 or more coins.
You will receive 3 re-spins where only blank spots, coins and special booster symbols appear. Each time a new symbol appears, the spins are reset back to 3.
All coins are held, boosters are not held but will reward extra rows, collections and value increases.
If you manage to open up all reels and get another increasing rows symbol, you will play the special Golden Train bonus after the spins are done. Which will award a random number of cash rewards and/or jackpot wins.
Feature ends when you run out of spins or fill each and every spot with coins.
Free Spins Feature
Getting all three scatter symbols will award 8 free spins.
During free spins 3 random connected reels will become a giant 3×3 symbol.
This giant symbol will show a normal paying symbol but can also award a scatter, adding 3, 6 or 9 extra free spins. But can also award a giant coin, triggering the Hold & Win bonus.
Verdict
To be honest, Track n’ Gold is a very basic slot. It’s one of those games that has been done a lot already. Free spins with a giant symbol and a Hold & Spin feature.
They have added a couple of special symbols to the Hold & Spin feature, which makes it a little more interesting. But it’s still a pretty basic game.
But what really makes me dislike this slot. It’s very busy. The train in the background keeps moving and each time coins land, they are collected, which gives you another animation. And the music is also pretty busy and load somehow. After 10 minutes of play, it really starts to get to you.
