And after this it released several other games within this “Wild Wild” series, like for instance Wild Wild Pearls, but also Wild Wild Riches Megaways. Now, 5 year after the original they have released a game called Wild Wild Riches Returns.
The game uses the same Irish theme as the original. With clovers, a lot of green and pots of gold.
The reels are switched up a little, here you will find 5 reels that are 3, 4, 4, 4, and 3 symbols high. Giving you 576 ways instead of paylines.
Besides low paying suits symbols and medium to high paying Irish symbols, you will also find scatter symbols on reels 2, 3 and 4. Wild symbols can appear on reels 1 and 5 only and can also carry a x2 multiplier. Lastly there are pots of gold, which can appear on all reels.
Wild Wild Riches Returns comes with a nice maximum payout of 10.000 times your bet and is a medium volatile slot game.

Money Collect
Pots of gold land with a value of between x1 and x8 times bet, or one of the jackpots, worth 10x, 25x, 50x, 100x, 1.000x and 10.000x bet.
When one or both wild symbols appear and there are golden pots on the reels, the values are collected and paid. Wilds can come with x2 multipliers, which also applies to these rewards. And you can also land both wilds, which makes both wilds collect the values.
Free Spins Feature
3 scatter symbols will trigger the free spins feature. A wheel will spin to determine the amount of free spins, which are between 6 and 20.
Getting less than 20 will let you gamble up to the maximum of 20 free spins.
The free spins work the same as base spins, also the money collect feature. But the value each golden pot that appears, if it’s collected or not, is collected into a meter on top.
After all free spins are done, you will receive 1 super free spin, where the middle reels become a giant pot, worth the total of the collected values. If one or more wilds land on reels 1 and/or 5 during this super spin, the total value is collected.

Verdict
Wild Wild Riches Returns switches the basics of the original slot around a bit. But keeps the main draw, which is the collection bonus with those wilds.
What did change is the final super spin you get during free spins. This is a nice touch, but to be honest, can also be very frustrating. Getting a big amount and then not landing a wild, really sucks.
Overall it’s fine game, but it will not make any huge waves. And also, if you didn’t the original, or the other “Wild Wild” slots, you will also not enjoy this one.
