Badge Blitz Overview
Pragmatic Play just released a new online slot game with a Western theme called Badge Blitz.
It’s a pretty basic Western theme with cowboys, horses, sheriff stars and reels that are set against a western town. Really one of those themes we’ve seen a lot before.
The game uses 5 reels that are each 3 symbols high and comes with 25 paylines.
Besides low paying card symbols you will also find medium to high paying western themed symbols like cowboys. Wild symbols, which is a horse, can appear on all reels. Scatter symbols only appear on reels 2, 3 and 4. The there are also sheriff star symbols, which can appear stacked on all reels and are used to trigger a Hold & Respin bonus.
Badge Blitz comes with a maximum payout of 3.000 times your bet and is a high volatile slot game. Which somehow doesn’t match for me, a lower payout, but still highly volatile.
Features
Money Respins Feature
6 or more sheriff badges will trigger the Money Respin feature.
The triggering symbols will change into coins with a value if between 0,8 and 16 times bet, or the Mini (10x), Minor (50x), Major (100x) or Mega (250x).
You will receive 3 respins. Each time a new sheriff badge appears, all values of all coins on screen are collected and then the sheriff badge will also change into a coin. Respins are then reset back to three.
The feature and when you run out of spins, or when you collected all 15 spots. Which will also award an additional bonus of the Grand (1.000x).
Free Spins Feature
Scatter symbols can only appear on reels 2, 3 and 4. And the scatter on reel 4 can also be a double scatter symbol.
3 or 4 scatter symbols will award 5 and 8 free spins respectively.
During each free spins at least 2 random reels will become wild reels.
Money Respins can also be triggered during free spins. Extra free spins cannot be won.
Bonus Buy
You are able to buy the Money Respins Feature for 100 times your bet.
Verdict
To be honest, Badge Blitz doesn’t do it for me.
I find the theme very generic and the the bonus are overdone. The Hold & Respin is something we’ve seen many time before and a lot of times done a lot better. The free spins feature, although I like the mechanisms, because of the low paying symbols, never gets really exciting.
