Boat Bonanza CrocoNile! – Overview
Just like Pragmatic Play does with their Big Bass slots, so does Play’n Go with their Boat Bonanza games. They keep adding new ones to the series. And now it’s another one. After Boat Bonanza and Boat Bonanza Down Under, among others, it’s now time to fish in Egypt with Boat Bonanza CrocoNile!
It’s still a fishing game, but against the background of probably ancient Egypt, since the crocodile God Sobek plays a big part in this game.
The game uses 5 reels that are each 4 symbols high and comes with the strange number of 12 paylines. As do all the others.
Besides low paying card symbols and medium to high paying Egyptian symbols, you will also find wild and scatter symbols on all reels. And lastly fish symbols that can appear stacked and come with a cash value of between 0,5 and 50 times bet.
Boat Bonanza CrocoNile! comes with a a maximum payout of 6.000 times your bet and is a medium volatile slot game.
Features
Catch
Fish come with a cash value of between 0,5 and 50 times bet. And can be collected during the base spins when the following happens.
- Catch Feature – There are always 1 or 2 boats above the reels, when fish land under the reel with a boat, the boat will collect all prizes from the fish
- Depth Charge – When this randomly happens, the blue boat will throw a bomb onto the reel it’s above, when there are no fish and will reveal a fish
- Spear Shot – When there is no normal catch win, the red boat will shoot a random fish on another random reel and collect the fish
Sobek’s Rage
When you get 5 scatter symbols, you will trigger Sobek’s Rage. Getting 3 or 4 scatter symbols will trigger a free re-spin where only scatters appear, like a second chance.
You are awarded with 5 re-spins and only fish and Croc symbols appear. Each landing will become sticky until the end of the re-spins.
Each Croc will add 1 more free spin. After all re-spins are done, each Croc will reveal a multiplier of between x2 and x25 and these are all added together and will multiply all fish values on screen. After this all fish are collected and paid.
Verdict
I get why they keep going with the series, Pragmatic Play still seems to be able to get players with their series. But for me, personally, I’m getting tired of these Hold & Collect type slots. I have seen them by now.
Boat Bonanza CrocoNile! isn’t a bad game, it’s alright though. The catch features started to annoy me pretty fast. It slows the gameplay down and never awards anything big anyway.
The free spins feature is good. It’s a bit different than normally, which I like. But again, the re-spin when getting 3 or 4 scatters, also started to get boring pretty fast.
I’m not the biggest of this game. It’s an OK game and that’s it in my opinion. But what do you think? Let me know in the comments blow. Are you done with these fishing Hold & Spin games? Or you want more?
You can find Boat Bonanza CrocoNile! at any trusted Play’n Go casino.
