This game comes with a very cute fairy tale theme. Where three different characters, which seems like two dwarfs and a fairy, want to build some houses. Three little pigs style.
You will find 5 reels that are each 3 symbols high and the game uses 243 ways. Meaning that symbols pay left to right, starting on reel 1, no matter where on the reels.
There are low paying card symbols, medium paying building tool symbols and high paying characters. There are also wild symbols on all reels and special hat symbols. Lastly there is a bonus symbol which only appears on reel 3.
Buildin’ Bucks comes with a maximum win of 5.000 times your bet and is a medium volatile slot game.

Prize Wheel
In the base game, the wheel above the reels will stop on random spots. When the bonus symbol lands on reels 3, the spot it landed on is awarded.
This can be an instant reward of 30x, 50x and 100x bet. Or it can land on one of the three characters, Woody Elf, Grout Bricky or Fairy Mary.
Character Re-spins
When you land on one of the three characters, like mentioned above, 6 re-spins will be awarded.
Woody, Grout and Mary will add frames to the reels which are wooden, stone and gold.
When hard hats appear during these re-spins, the spot will get a frame, corresponding with the character you triggered. If a spot already has a frame, the frame is added to another random spot. When the entire reels are full, the frames can be upgraded from wood to brick to gold.
Each wood is worth between 2 and 5 times bet, brick is worth between 6 and 12,5 times bet and gold is worth between 15 and 25 times bet.
After all re-spins are done, all frame will award their values.
Free Spins Feature
3 or more hard hat symbols will trigger 6 free spins. 3 scatters will start the game off with 3 wooden frames, 4 scatters will start the game off with 4 brick frames and 5 scatters will start the game off with 5 golden frames.
Each hard hat that appears will leave a wooden frame, or will upgrade a frame if already on that spot from wood to brick and finally to gold.
When the entire reels are full with golden frames and a hard hat appears, it will award an instant reward of 100 times bet.
During free spins a special bonus symbol can land on reel 3 which will award 1, 3 or 5 extra free spins.
After all spins are done, all frames will award a cash reward, as mentioned above.
Verdict
If you are a little bit familiar with slot games, this game might remind you of a very popular slot game called Huff ‘n Puff from SG Interactive. These games became very popular, especially in land-based casinos. And are still popular and have even gotten several spin-offs.
Well, you aren’t wrong. The features from Buildin’ Bucks are almost exactly the same as these games. The frames with wood, brick and gold and even the hard hats.
And I don’t mind that, the feature is a lot of fun and is very popular. But I do think Play’n Go should have went with a totally different theme.
