Circle of Life is the latest online slot release by Hacksaw Gaming.
A game that revolves around the fact that everything alive will die at some point. And our lives are only short and the one certainty is that it will end. But to be fair, Hacksaw was able to make it into more of an melancholic theme with the use of all grey colors and only using color on their tree of life. Which makes for a very aesthetically pleasing game.
This slot game uses 5 reels that are each 4 symbols high and comes with 14 paylines.
Besides low paying card symbols and medium to high paying themed symbols, you will also find special tree of life symbols on all reels, which count as wilds. scatter, or free spins symbols are also available on all reels.
Circle of Life comes with a very nice maximum payout of 15.000 times your bet and is a high volatile slot game.
Features
Tree of Life (Wilds)
Tree symbols are wild and come with a random multiplier of between x2 and x100.
When one or more wilds are part of a winning combination, a re-spin is triggered. The tree will expand one symbol up after the reels will stop spinning. These re-spins continue as long as you get a winning combination with the tree, or when the tree reaches the top of the reels.
Circle of Life
When a Tree lands on the bottom row and manages to climb all the way to the top row, you will trigger the Circle of Life feature.
A wheel will spin to land on multipliers between x2 and x100 or a multiplier that multiplies the total by x2. Or a skull. The wheel keeps spinning and adding those multiplier to the wild, until you land on the skull. After this the reels will stop spinning.
Free Spins Features
3 or more scatter symbols will trigger a free spins feature. The scatters will expand to cover the entire reels and each symbol will award between 1 and 3 free spins. There is also an upgrade symbol, which will upgrade the free spins feature to the next level, when it appears. The number of scatters determines the free spins feature you will activate.
- Origin – 3 scatter symbols – Keeps the base game features, but any tree landing that is part of a win, will not reward re-spins, but will act the same way as normal and expand up one symbol after each spin. Each free spins symbol appearing during free spins will add between 4 and 12 extra free spins.
- Eternal – 4 scatter symbols – Keeps the same features as Origin. But when a tree manages to trigger the Circle of Life, that reel becomes active and is guaranteed to land a tree symbol during all future free spins. Each free spins symbol appearing during free spins will add between 4 and 12 extra free spins.
- Rebirth – 5 scatter symbols – Keeps the same features as Eternal but reels 2 and 4 are already active during these free spins. This feature can’t award extra free spins.
Bonus Buy
Circle of Life offers several bonus buy options. For 5x the bet you can activate a 5 times higher chance of triggering the bonus. 70x the bet will guarantee you to land at least 2 tree symbols. For 100x the bet you can buy Origin and for 300x the bet you can buy Eternal. Rebirth isn’t available as a bonus buy.
Verdict
Maybe it’s getting a bit boring, but I absolutely love this new Hacksaw Gaming slot.
The theme is amazing. It’s unique and even though it’s almost all grey, it looks great and works very well with the theme.
Then we have the bonuses. Which are also very nicely done. Especially that Circle of Life feature, which can trigger during base spins and during free spins, can award some huge multipliers on an already wild reel. All three free spins features are also very well done.
And as with most Hacksaw Gaming slots, the maximum payout it high and you are able to buy all but one of the bonuses.
