Crystal Hall – Overview
Play’n Go released one of those classic looking slot games called Crystal Hall. And when I say classic, I mean that it doesn’t really come with a specific theme except luxury looking sevens, dice and in this case disco balls. A sort of casino themed slot.
This new slot game uses 5 reels that are each 4 symbols high and comes with 1024 ways instead of lines. 3125 ways during free spins even.
Besides low paying royal symbols, which are the standard card symbols, there are also classic symbols, which are the high paying symbols. Scatter symbols, the disco balls, appear on reels 2, 3 and 4 only. The same with the wild symbols. And lastly there is a special casino chip, which can only appear on reel 3.
Crystal Hall comes with a very big maximum payout of 10.000 times your bet and is a medium to high volatile slot game.
Features
Spotlight Glow
When the Casino Chip symbol lands on reel 3 it will trigger the Spotlight Glow feature.
Between 3 and 20 random spots on the reels will receive a neon border. After this all these framed symbols will change into one and the same Classic Symbol.
Disco Shuffle
Getting all three scatter symbols at the same time will award one of two features at random.
- Fortune Roll – Awards a cash reward of between 5x and 200x bet.
- Crystal Free Spins – Awards 8 free spins and an added row of symbols, so now playing with 3125 ways. During free spins all triple seven symbols are silver, which pay double. And each Spotlight Glow that appears will add those neon borders, but these will stay until the end of the free spins and then all these borders will change into one and the same Classic symbol. Each disco ball during free spins will add 1 more free spin.
Verdict
Crystal Hall is a decent game. But to be honest, nothing exceptional.
The Spotlight Glow feature doesn’t seem to trigger a lot during base spins. And for, never really awarded anything special.
The Disco Shuffle does seem to trigger more often and is really a mix between the two features. Especially the Free Spins can be a lot of fun when enough Spotlight Glow features happen awarding a lot of those mystery symbols.
The game seems to be able to pay a maximum of 50.000 times your bet. Which it can, but also be aware that the change of hitting this number is over 1 in 4,5 billion!
Overall Crystal Hall is a fine game. But it won’t leave a lasting impression.
