Dragon Lair Overview
Swintt is not the most original provider online. In fact they rarely have a unique or new slot game. They mainly release copies of other, famous, slot titles. But they do it well and seem to be pretty popular.
They have now released Dragon Lair. A new slot game with a dragon theme and a symbol upgrade feature. And to be honest, the same slot as Montezuma, also by Swintt. Which is in fact a copy of the famous Eye of Horus slot game by Merkur.
The game uses 5 reels, each 3 symbols high and uses 10 lines.
There are standard card symbols and other, pretty random symbols like a scarab, keys, a griffin and like a dragon egg.
There are scatter symbols on all reels in the form of a castle. And wild symbols only appear on reels 2, 3 and 4, which are a girl, or dragon rider.
I have no idea what the maximum payout on this game is. I’ve seen 500 times bet, but that’s just for one full screen of the highest symbols and you get that more than once during the free spins feature.
Dragon lair Features
The wild symbols appearing on reels 2, 3 and 4 will always expanding to cover the entire reel. This will happen during normal spins and free spins feature.
Free Spins Feature
3 or more scatter symbols will award 12 free spins.
During free spins 1, 2 or 3 wild symbols will award 1, 3 and 5 extra free spins respectively.
But each wild symbol will also upgrade a symbol starting from the lowest of the mid and high level symbols. The lowest one will change into the next value each time a wild appears. And will stay that way until the end of the free spins. After 5 wild symbols appeared, you have upgraded all medium and high paying paying symbols into the highest paying symbol, the egg.
3 or more scatter symbols during free spins will add 12 more free spins.
Like I started with, this game is not original at all. They even have the same game with another theme themselves. But it’s still an enjoyable game and I still love playing it.
The free spins feature is just fun and exciting. The look of the game isn’t that great, it feels like a game from 20 years ago. But if you can ignore that, you might enjoy the game as much as I do.
