It’s time for a new Asian themed slot game by Play’n Go called Fulong 88.
Fulong is the name of a dragon, which is clearly present on this slot game. Awarding special wild symbols and a bonus feature. Of course the game also features a lot of other Asian themed animals like a turtle and bunny. But also ying yang symbols and golden coins. Everything you might expect on an Asian themed game.
The game is played with 5 reels that are each 3 symbols high and 234 ways instead of paylines.
Besides the low paying card symbols you will also find all sorts of animal statues. A big gong is the scatter symbol, which can appear on all reels. Wild symbols can also appear on each reel and can randomly split into 2 wild symbols during base spins. Lastly there are golden coin symbols.

Features
Golden Symbols
On the left of the reels you will find the 5 highest paying symbols. Which can be activated before you start playing. You can chose 1, 2 or even all 5. This will increase the base bet, but will also increase the payout of these symbols. And increases the chance to get golden coin symbols.
Golden Coins
When a golden coin appears, Fulong, which sits on top of the reels, will collect it. The symbol then turns into a wild symbol. It might also randomly trigger the Fulong’s Fortune feature.
You must have at least 2 golden symbols to be able to trigger the Fulong’s Fortune feature.
Fulong’s Fortune Feature
Pick between coins to reveal a colored gem. Match 3 of the same color to win the corresponding prize.
Free Spins Feature
3 or more scatter symbols will award 10 free spins.
During free spins all low paying card symbols are removed and wild symbols will always split into two and a coin will always trigger the Fulong’s Fortune feature.
Three or more scatter symbols during free spins will add 10 more free spins, up to a maximum of 150.
Verdict
At first the game confused me a little, with those golden symbols. I didn’t see that you could activate them. I wish it would be a little more clear.
Also I’m never sure about this activating of special symbols. But I do know that the game did pay a lot better when I activated them all. So it probably does make a difference.
Overall the game features a lot of fun features, but all things we have seen before. That’s not a bad thing, it all works together in a beautiful looking slot game.
