This game’s theme revolves around one of those mythological forges. So expect Greek columns, a lot of fire and swords, armor and bows.
You will find 7 reels that are each 7 symbols high. And this game uses a cluster pays mechanism. So 5 or more of the same symbols, that are vertically and/or horizontally connected, count as a winning combination.
It also uses tumbling reels, or reactions. So winning symbols are removed from the reels. All remaining symbols fall down into the empty spots and new symbols are added on top, creating the possibility for multiply wins within the same spin.
High and lowing paying symbols aren’t extremely distinct. But it seems the low paying symbols are the weapons and the high paying symbols is the armor and the character symbol. There are also scatter symbols which can appear on all reels. Wild symbols are special exploding wilds, more on those below.

Exploding Wilds
Exploding Wilds can appear on all reels normally and are also always left behind after a winning cluster is removed.
It counts as any normal paying symbol.
When all wins are paid, or no wins occur. The wild symbol will explode and removed all surrounding symbols.
Multiplier Grid
Below the symbols you can imagine a grid. When a wild explosion happens, all those spots that are removed, will receive a x2 multiplier. Each time a new explosion happens on the same spots, it will be doubled, up to a maximum of x128 multiplier.
If winning symbols have a multiplier on the grid, those multipliers are added together and multiplied by the win.
The multipliers reset between each new bought spin.
Free Spins Feature
3 or more scatters will award 10 free spins.
Free spins will start with a clean Multiplier Grid. But all multipliers will become sticky and will stay on the grid until the end of the free spins.

Verdict
Hammerblaze is one of those slots that instantly looks and feels like a Thunderkick game. Which almost all of their games do. Which is pretty impressive.
This games keeps things pretty simple. And also seems to use mechanisms that have been done before. But they work very well.
A cluster pays slot with exploding wilds and increasing multipliers. And that’s it. But, especially during free spins those multiplier can go up pretty high and award big wins.
Overall Hammerblaze is a solid new slot by Thunderkick which I really enjoyed.
