Haunted Crypt – Overview
Pragmatic Play has released a new online slot game called Haunted Crypt. A game that would normally fit perfectly during the Halloween season. With all sorts of monsters seemingly resting in a creepy graveyard.
You have a death king, an alien, Dracula and more all appearing on the reels.
The game uses 5 reels that are each 3 symbols high and comes with a total of 20 lines.
Besides low paying card symbols, medium paying items and high paying characters, you will also find scatter symbols on reels 1, 3 and 5. These are red blood moons. Lastly there are wilds which can appear on reels 2, 3 and 4.
Haunted Crypt comes with a nice maximum payout of 10.000 times bet and is a high volatile slot game.
Features
Wilds
Wild symbols can appear on reels 2, 3 and 4 only. During base spins, when one or more wilds appear, they come with a random multiplier of between x2 and x10. When more than one multiplier wild is used in a winning combination, they are added together.
Game Mode
On the right of the reels you have the option to set the game to Value or Speed mode. Value is the normal game, Speed increases the possibility to trigger free spins, but pays less on average.
Free Spins Features
3 scatter symbols will award 10 free spins.
During free spins, any wild symbol that appears will leave a highlighted frame around the symbol spot. Each new spin after that, this frame will get an increased multiplier of x1.
When a wild symbol appears, anywhere, all frames will also become wild with their current multiplier.
3 scatter symbols during free spins will add 5 more free spins.
Bonus Buy
Haunted Crypt comes with several extra bonus buy options. Including buying free spins for 100x bet. And buying super free spins for 500x bet. This will award a general multiplier during each spin, which is added to all frames and wilds.
Verdict
The theme at the beginning of March surprised me, but is done pretty nice.
The game itself might seem a bit basic, but works very well. The wilds that become, sort of sticky, during free spins and get increased multipliers after each spin, can really award some huge wins.
Super Free Spins is especially interesting, but it is a shame that this can only be bought and is not cheap.
Overall Haunted Crypt is a great new slot game by Pragmatic Play.
