Hot Pepper is the latest new slot release by Pragmatic Play.
For this game they are using a Mexican, chilli theme. A very colorful game with peppers, pinatas and more. A bit like their Chilli Heat Megaways title.
The game uses a grid of 7 by 7 symbols, total of 49 in total. And 5 or more of the same symbols in a cluster will count as a winning combination, no matter where on the grid.
Besides all normal symbols you will also find bonus symbols, which are suns. And the game creates wild multiplier symbols during play.

Cascading Symbols
Every winning cluster is removed from the reels and all symbols fall down. New symbols fall on top. After this you can get another winning combination and the process keeps repeating until no new winning combinations appear.
Random Wild Multipliers
When a winning cluster is removed it will leave behind a wild symbol on one of the removed symbols.
These wild symbols are in the form of a pepper. And they count for any symbol except bonus symbols.
When a wild symbol is left behind it will have a random level of between 1 and 5. The level determines how high the multiplier can be on the wild symbol.
Each time 3 wild symbols are used in a tumble, the level will go up. The maximum level is level 5, after this it can’t go higher.
- Level 1 – Clusters of 5-6, 7-8, 9-10 or 11 and more symbols will generate a wild multiplier of x1, x2, x4 and x8 respectively
- Level 2 – Clusters of 5-6, 7-8, 9-10 or 11 and more symbols will generate a wild multiplier of x2, x4, x8 and x16 respectively
- Level 3 – Clusters of 5-6, 7-8, 9-10 or 11 and more symbols will generate a wild multiplier of x4, x8, x16 and x32 respectively
- Level 4 – Clusters of 5-6, 7-8, 9-10 or 11 and more symbols will generate a wild multiplier of x8, x16, x32 and x64 respectively
- Level 5 – Clusters of 5-6, 7-8, 9-10 or 11 and more symbols will generate a wild multiplier of x16, x32, x64 and x128 respectively
Wild multipliers are used when they are part of a winning cluster. If more than one wild is part of a winning cluster the values are added together.
Free Spins Feature
3 bonus symbols will award 12 free spins. These bonus symbols can be collected during several cascades within the same spin.
During free spins the Random Wild Multipliers are always at the highest level, level 5.
collecting 3 bonus symbols during a free spin will add 5 more free spins.

Hot Pepper is no different. Leaving behind a wild symbol which can have big multipliers is great. Of course you want the level 5 wilds. And to be honest, when you start on level 1, it is very hard to reach that top level during the normal spins.
