In & out – Overview
Figures that I was away a couple of days that NetEnt released a new online slot game called In & Out. So I’m a couple of days late, but here’s the review of a very cool new title.
In & Out is a game that revolves around a female burglar names Chloé. Which seems to be breaking into a museum in this game.
Reels are set within a museum at night, so expect a bit of a dark colored game.
The game uses 5 reels which are each 5 symbols high and comes with a scatter pays mechanism. 6 or more high paying symbols or 8 or more low paying anywhere on the reels count as a winning combination.
And the game also features the famous Avalanche Feature from NetEnt. So winning symbols are removed from the reels and remaining symbols fall down into empty spots. New symbols than fall on top, creating the option for more winning combinations.
You will find low paying burglar gear and high paying loot or treasures. Then there are a wild symbols and scatter or super scatter symbols on all reels. Lastly there is also a special symbol that can expand the reels and of course also Chloé has her own special symbol. More on those below.
In & Out comes with a very nice maximum payout of 12.086 times your bet and is a high volatile slot game.
Features
Highlighted symbols
Any spot where winning symbols have been removed will get a highlighted background of bronze. But if more wins occur on those same spots, the highlight is upgraded from bronze to silver, gold and lastly diamond.
Expanding Reels
Special timed bombs symbols can land on all reels. When they appear, they explode and will remove all adjacent symbols. Creating an avalanche.
An explosion will not remove wilds, scatters or a Chloé symbol.
If a Bomb lands on the other reels, it will add an extra row or reel before it explodes. The reels can grow up to 8 reels and 7 rows.
Reels will reset back to the normal size for the next spin.
Heist Mode
When a Chloé symbol appears and there are highlighted spots on the reels, Heist Mode is triggered.
This is Hold & Win feature where only the highlighted spots will spin and land either blank spots, cash rewards or special symbols.
The highlight determines the values that can appear on those spots:
- Bronze – Between 0,5x and 2x bet
- Silver – Between 4x and 10x bet
- Gold – Between 15x and 30x bet
- Diamond – Between 50x and 1.000x bet
Special symbols that can appear are:
- Multiplier – Can land in bronze, silver or golden highlights. Will multiply all coins, diamond and collectors at the end of the bonus by between x2 and x10
- Upgrader – Will upgrade all adjacent spots to the next level and also upgrades normal scatters to super scatters. If spots weren’t highlighted yet, they become bronze
- Burst – Will upgrade a random number of non-highlighted spots to the same level as where it landed
- Extra Life – Will award 1 extra spin and is than removed from the reels
- Collector – Will gather all values from all coins and diamonds on the reels and takes that value. The collected symbols however are removed and can re-spin
Free Spins Features
You can land both normal and super scatters. 3 scatter symbols of any kind will award 5 free spins and 1 extra free spin for any super scatter.
The size of the reels/rows and highlighted spots carry over into the free spins until they are used in a Heist Mode.
Each scatter symbol during free spins will add 1 more free spin. A maximum of 2 can land at the same time.
If at least 1 scatter is a super scatter, you will play Super Free Spins, which is played on a fully expanded reel set of 8 reels and 7 rows.

In & Out comes with several different bonus buy features under their Elevate option.

Verdict
In & Out is an amazing new slot game from NetEnt.
The theme works very well with all the mechanisms and looks great.
And all the features are very enjoyable.
Of course the best feature is that Heist Mode, which seems to hit a lot more often during free spins. And getting those diamond highlights can award some huge wins.
Overall In & Out is a very solid new title. I’m glad NetEnt is starting to push out some real bangers after some, not so great slots last year.
