Mega Don Triple Threat – Overview
We’ve recently seen several of these, three pots on top of the reels, slot game releases. Like for instance Pragmatic Play’s Treasures of Osiris. It seems these slots are gaining popularity, because now Play’n Go has released one called Mega Don Triple Threat. A sequel to their Mega Don slot.
The game uses pretty much the same theme as before. An underwater sharks theme. With three different sharks that come into play. Leopard, Hammerhead and of course Don.
You will find 5 reels that are each 4 symbols high and a total of 1024 ways instead of lines.
Besides low paying small fish and high paying big fish, there are also wild symbols on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5. Then there are three scattered fish, that correspond with the meters on top, which when appearing are collected.
Mega Don Triple Threat comes with a massive maximum payout of 25.000 times bet and is a high volatile slot game.
Features
Free Spins Features
Above the reels are three meters, like I mentioned above. When specific scatters appear, they are collected into their corresponding meter.
Whenever a scatter is collected, at random one of the three features can trigger. Which all award 8 free spins with their own modifier.
- Leopard Feast – On each spin between 1 to 5 small fish symbols on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 will transform into wild symbols. You can’t win extra spins during this feature.
- Hammerhead Feast – Each wild that appears will be upgraded to a x2 wild symbol. More than one wild wild in a winning combination are added together. You can’t win extra spins during this feature.
- Mega Don Feast – One random small fish is picked and upgraded to a Mega Don symbol. During these spins each time you have collected 3 scatters, you will receive 3 more free spins and another small fish will be upgraded. A total of 6 symbols can be upgraded to Mega Don symbols with a maximum of 30 free spins.
Verdict
Play’n Go really amped it up on this game. A huge maximum payout and three different features that are all good. But I am guessing the Mega Don bonus is the one that can pay the most.
Personally I am still not the biggest fan of these types of slots. I don’t like the random feel of them. But I do like that this one only offers three bonuses and no combinations. Which you always want on most of these games, but almost never seem to happen. But I do think this game could have used a bonus buy option. Even though I know Play’n Go never offers that option.
Overall it’s good game and especially for players that like these three pots types of slots.
