Midas Golden Touch 3 – Overview
Back in 2019 Thunderkick released a game called Midas Golden Touch. And since then they have already released a second version, which I seem to have forgotten to review and also a Christmas version, simply called Christmas Edition. Now in 2025 Thunderkick released Midas Golden Touch 3, the third installment of the basic series.
The game uses pretty much the same theme as the others, although a little more realistic.
There are 5 reels that are each 3 symbols high and you will find 15 paylines.
Besides low paying card symbols and medium to high paying jewel symbols, you will also find wild symbols on all reels and scatter symbols on all reels.
Midas Golden Touch 3 comes with a a pretty big maximum payout of 15.000 times your bet and is a high volatile slot game.
Features
Wild Multipliers
Wild symbols come with a x2 multiplier during the base games. This means that a wild will pay x2, 2 wilds will pay times 4 and so on, to 5 wilds paying x32.
Gift of Midas
During any base spin the Gift of Midas might randomly trigger. This will either award between 1 and 9 random wilds on the reels or between 1 and 3 random scatters on the reels.
Free Spins Feature
3 or more scatter symbols will award 5 free spins.
The starting multiplier of the Epic Wild starts on x2 with 3 scatters, x5 with 4 scatters and x10 with 5 scatters.
During free spins, before each spin, a random Epic Wild is placed on the reels.
Any winning combination will trigger and Re-spin feature, where the winning symbols are held and the rest of the symbols re-spin. As long as the winning combination improves, the re-spins keep continuing.
Each time you triggered a winning combination, the multiplier of the Epic Wild will go up by x1 and you will also get 2 more free spins.
Bonus Buy
For 100, 150 and 250 times bet you are able to buy 3, 4 and 5 scatters respectively. Triggering the free spins bonus.
Verdict
Thunderkick kept a lot of what players like about these games. Starting with the theme. But also the wilds that multiply and the random wild during free spins.
What is different is the fact that the multiplier can now increase during free spins, giving the option for even bigger wins. Which is always a nice addition.
But I do have to say that overall the game feels very similar as the others and doesn’t feel different enough somehow. I wish they did a little more with it.
