Here we have Play’n Go’s first new slot release for 2026 and the game is called Mole Digger.
A game that used a mining theme combined with moles. Which makes sense, since they seem to be natures miners.
The game uses 5 reels that are each 4 symbols high and comes with 25 paylines.
Besides low paying card symbols and medium to high paying mining tool symbols, you will also find wild symbols on all reels. Then there are gems, which can appear on all reels and can appear as normal golden gems, or special green, blue and red gems. There are no scatter symbols on this game.
Mole Digger comes with a nice maximum payout of 10.000 times your bet and is a medium to high volatile slot game.
Features
Mine Cart Feature
When one or more mine carts stop under the reels, all gems that are above the specific reels will instantly be collected and paid.
Hold ‘n Win
Special gems, which are green, red and blue will always be collected on top of the reels when they land.
At random one or more pots can be filled, which will trigger the Hold ‘n Win feature with that modifier or modifiers active.
6 or more gems anywhere will also trigger the Hold ‘n Win feature and if one or more of those gems are any of the three colors, that modifier is also active.
The modifiers are:
- Green: All cash values are boosted with between x1 and x10
- Red: Award a high cash value of between x10 and x500
- Blue: Collects all cash values on the reels
You are awarded with 3 re-spins and only gems and blank spots appear. Each new gem is held and will reset the re-spins back to 3. When you run out of re-spins the feature ends.
Verdict
The first release of Pragmatic Play for 2026, Joker’s Jewels Hold & Spin was a pretty disappointing game. To be honest, this one also doesn’t make me excited at all.
It’s just another Hold ‘n Spin slot with three different modifiers, which has been done a lot already.
The only thing it has going for itself is the theme, which is pretty nicely done. And the higher maximum payout of 10.000 times bet.
Everything else is very forgettable.
