Just as with their Big Bass Bonanza games, Pragmatic Play is now also expanding their Floating Dragon slots. After Floating Dragon – Hold & Spin and Floating Dragon Megaways, it now time for Floating Dragon – Dragon Boat Festival.
But let me start by saying, they this new version is almost identical to the first one. With only a bigger maximum win and some small differences in symbols.
The game uses 5 reels that are each 3 symbols high. And the game uses 10 lines.
You will find standard card symbols, several different Asian objects and also scatter symbols during the base game. These scatter symbols are the big dragons. You will also find fish symbols with random cash values on them. These will count as normal symbols, except during free spins when the values come into play.
Lastly there are coins which also hold cash values and can appear on all reels.
Floating Dragon – Dragon Boat Festival comes with a maximum payout of 10.000 times your bet. The original only went to 5.000.

Free Spins Feature
Getting 3, 4 or 5 scatter symbols will award 10, 15 or 20 free spins respectively.
During free spins a new lady symbols is added which also acts as a wild symbol.
When one or more fish symbols appear together with this symbol all values on the fish are collected. The symbol itself is also collected each time it appears.
Every time you collect 4 of them you will trigger 10 more free spins and the multiplier will increase. It will start on x1 and each retrigger will increase to x2, x3 and finally x10.
All wins, including the fish values will be multiplied with the active multiplier.
During the feature it might randomly happen that fish symbols are added when only a lady appears.
Hold & Spin
If at least 3 coin symbols appear, you will trigger the Hold & Spin feature.
The coins all have a values on them between 1x and 2.000x bet and these values are collected. After this you get 4 free re-spins and each time one or more coins land on other reels, all coins are collected again and the re-spins reset to 4.
Special diamond symbols can also appear, which have much higher values.
The feature ends when you run out of re-spins.
Bonus Buy and Ante Bet
Some casinos will offer the option to buy the free spins feature or the Hold & Spin feature for 100 times your bet. You can also activate an ante bet for 50%, which will increase the number of scatters appearing.
Verdict
I’m not going to spend a lot of time giving my verdict.
If you like the earlier titles, I’m sure you will also like this one. If you don’t know the earlier versions, begin with this one, it comes with a bigger payout.
That’s the only difference. Except for some different symbols and the fact that coins now appear on all reels. On the original game they appeared stacked on reel 3.
I’m not sure why they didn’t add something new. I think they could have stayed true to the original, but at least give it something new, beside a higher payout.
But it is what it is.
I like the game and I’m sure a lot of players will too.
