NetEnt seems to have planned a lot of upcoming releases, which is great. And today I am talking about their latest release, Cursed Treasure.
This new slot game has an amazing look and revolves around an explorer looking for treasure somewhere in a hidden jungle. Maybe not something we haven’t seen before, but NetEnt really made this game look immersive. It gives the same fibe like for instance Creature from the Black Lagoon, another NetEnt slot.
The game uses 5 reels that are each 4 symbols high and comes with 20 paylines.
Besides standard, low paying, card symbols you will also find different items and characters, which are the high paying symbols. You will also find wild symbols on all reels. And explosives which count as scatter symbols.
But there are more symbols. You will also find Cash Prize Symbols and special Cursed Treasure symbols. Which are explained below.
Cursed Treasure comes with a maximum payout of 5.064 times your bet and is a low to medium volatile slot game.
Features
Cash Prize Symbols
During base spins when you land 3 or more Cash Prize Symbols, as any other normal paying symbol, you will be awarded with the total amount on the symbols.
Cash Prize Symbols come with a cash value of between 0,5 and 20 times your bet. Each Cash Prize Symbol only pays one time, even if they are part of several winning paylines. Wilds also count, but don’t come with a cash value.
Cursed Treasure Feature
On the right of the reels you will find a meter that starts at 5.
During any spin you can land a cursed treasure symbol. Which is like a green gemstone. Each of these are collected and added to the meter.
During each spin where you collected a cursed treasure, the feature might randomly trigger. But it will trigger guaranteed when you have collected 20 of them.
Once triggered a number of Cash Prize symbols are added to the reels, equal to the number on the meter. If the number of symbols is less than 20, the values will be between 0,5 and 5 times bet. If there are 20 or more the values will be between 0,5 and 20 times bet.
Cash Prize Symbols can be added on the same spots, which will add the values together.
After wins are awarded the meter resets back to 5.
Free Spins Feature
3 or more scatter symbols will award 3 free spins.
During free spins only Cash Prize Symbols or Cursed Treasure symbols appear. And when one or more of these symbols land, the spins are reset back to 3.
Cash Prize Symbols are held during all spins. Cursed Treasure symbols are collected into the meter, same as above.
When all spins have been played, the same number of Cash Prize symbols as the meter are placed on the reels and you are awarded your win.

Some casinos will offer the option to buy free spins for 100 times bet.
Verdict
I really like this new NetEnt slot. It looks amazing and feels like we’ve gone back to the golden days of NetEnt.
I know that it’s another one of these Hold & Spin slot. But for me, they made it different enough to enjoy.
The maximum win is also pretty high, especially since its a low volatile game. Which are rare these days.
Let’s hope NetEnt will keep going down this road and releases more of those games that we love, not because of huge maximum wins, but because the games just look amazing and come with fun features.
