It’s time for another online slot release by Play’n Go. And this time we will follow two coach robbers called Swift Rick and Lady Pearl.
It feels like the game is set in maybe France, a bit like the Three Musketeers. Or maybe even old England like Robin Hood. At least that’s the atmosphere the game gives me.
The game uses 5 reels that are each 3 symbols high and comes with 20 lines.
Besides standard card symbols you will also find the two main characters. But also wild symbols on all reels. And there are scatter symbols on reels 1, 3 and 5.
But there’s more, there are also bags of coins on reels 1, 2, 3 and 4. And a special Cash Collect symbol on reel 5.
Highway legends comes with a bit of a disappointing maximum payout of 1.250 times bet. And it’s a medium volatile slot game.

Cash Collect Feature
Special cash bag symbols can appear on reels 1, 2, 3 and 4 with values of between x2 and x30 times bet. On reel 5 a special Cash Collect symbol can land.
When the Cash Collect symbol appears, all cash bag symbols on the reels are collected and paid. This feature can only appear during normal spins.
Free Spins Features
When you get all 3 scatter symbols at the same time you will trigger the free spins feature.
When you get 2 scatter symbols on reels 1 and 3, there is a chance that the third one is given and you will also enter free spins.
Before free spins start you have the choice to pick between 2 different features.
Stacked Wild Hold Up Free Spins – You will receive 10 free spins. During each free spin 1 or more reels can become completely wild.
Roaming Rider Wilds Free Spins – You will receive 10 free spins. Each wild symbol appearing will stay on the reels until the end of the bonus. They will roam between each spin.
Verdict
Play’n Go really went all out with the theme of this game. Highway Legends is a very good looking game and uses a great theme that’s not used a lot.
But what about the features. Well let me start with the Cash Collect Feature. This feature seems like an afterthought. I think they should have removed it. It seems like this is only added to keep the base game a little more interesting. But it doesn’t do much.
Then we have the free spins features. These are nice. Nothing new, but it’s always nice when you are able to pick your feature. And both features are equally fun.
But what the game misses is excitement. And this is because the maximum win is too low in my opinion. Only 1250 times bet. Of course if you would win this maximum win, that would be nice, but we also know that the maximum win on any slot game is maybe 1 in 1 million spins.
