Golden Glyph 3 Overview
Quickspin has just released a third installment in their Golden Glyph series. Egyptian themed slot games with cluster pays and a ton of modifiers.
The game uses 7 reels that are between 5 and 9 symbols high during each spin. It also uses cluster pays, meaning that any combination of 5 or more of the same symbols, connected, count as a winning combination.
Winning combinations are also removed from the reels and new symbols fall on top. Creating another option for another win.
Besides low paying icons there are also high paying masks, or characters. The game also comes with special wild symbols, normal wild symbols and even wild reels. But these only appear because of a feature.

Power Glyph
When you get a winning cluster, all symbols are removed, but it will also leave behind a Power Glyph symbol. This symbol counts as a wild symbol and each time a Power Glyph is used in a winning cluster it will activate one of the Power Ups on the left of the reels.
Power Ups
When there are no more winning combinations and you have activated Power Ups, they will become active, one after the other, if more than 1 is activated.
- Gigantic Wild – Will make one random reel into one big wild symbol
- Storm of Wilds – Will add between 2 and 4 random wilds on the reels
- Destruction – Will remove a random number of low paying symbols from the reels
- Transformation – Will pick one random symbol on the reels, al symbols connected will now change into the same symbol
- Free Spins – The last Power Up is always the bonus. This will award 6 free spins
Free Spins Feature
Free spins are triggered when activating the Power Up.
You are awarded with 6 free spins. During all free spins a Golden Glyph is present. This counts as a wild symbol and will move to a new spot after each spin. It also comes with a x2 multiplier.
Each time you manage to activate the last Power Up in a row, the Bonus, you will be awarded with 2 more free spins and the Golden Glyph multiplier is doubled. So from x2 to x4 to x8 and so on.

Some casinos will offer the option to buy the free spins feature for 65 times your bet.
Verdict
Some of this might sound a bit confusing, but once you play the game it becomes clear pretty fast.
And if you know the earlier 2 installments, then it’s pretty much the same.
They haven’t changed much in this third version. It’s all pretty much the same, but if it works, it works. Although somehow this third version does come with the lowest maximum payout.
