Legacy of Undead Dragon Abyssways – Overview
Play’n Go has released another slot game in their series of Abyssways slots. We’ve seen games like Scourge of Rome and 13th Trail Hercules Abyssways and now it’s time for Legacy of Undead Dragon Abyssways.
For a theme they went with a fantasy theme revolving around an undead dragon protecting treasure. It uses a lot of dark colors and a dark background. And you will find basic symbols like a hero, a sword and of course a big dragon flying around the reels.
You will find 6 reels which are each 4 symbols high and the game uses connected paylines. As long as symbols are connected from left to right, it counts as a winning paylines.
Besides low paying card symbols you will also find high paying fantasy themed symbols. Then there are wild symbols on all reels and scatter symbols can also appear on each reel. There are also golden coins which can appear on all reels and can trigger a random bonus.
Legacy of Undead Dragon Abyssways comes with a high maximum payout of 20.000 times bet and is a medium volatile slot game.
Features
Haunted Gold
Each golden coin that appears is collected by the dragon on top. At any point, at random, the dragon can awake and will award an instant cash reward of between 3 and 25 times bet.
Dragon’s Wrath
On any non winning spin there is a change to randomly trigger the Dragon’s Wrath. You will receive a re-spin where the reels become 6 symbols high. And a dragon will fly over the reels and leave a random number of wilds on the reels.
Free Spins Feature
3, 4, 5 and 6 scatter symbols will award 6, 8, 10 and 12 free spins respectively.
During free spins the dragon can randomly add wilds to the reels. These wilds will become sticky and will receive an increasing multiplier after each new spin, increasing it by x1 per spin. Of course these wilds can also be removed because of the following.
After each spin a random number of symbols from the lower part of the reels will drop of the reels. Decreasing the number of symbols per reel. Then at the start of the new free spin an extra row of symbols is added on top, increasing the number of symbols per reel again.
Verdict
This game uses the same free spins feature mechanism as the other titles. The removing of symbols and adding of a row. And where the other games used ways, this one uses connected lines. Which does decrease the number of winning options a lot.
The theme is OK, but nothing special in my opinion. We have seen these themes a lot before and for me personally. it’s not my favorite theme.
Maximum payout is still huge, especially for a medium volatile game.
Overall it’s one of those games that if you don’t like the Abyssways mechanism, you won’t like any of these titles. But if you do, here you have another option with some other features overall.
