And we know they love an Egyptian theme, so for this game they also picked that theme. With the reels set against an ancient Egyptian temple and symbols like pyramids and cats.
The game uses 5 reels that are each 3 symbols high and comes with 20 lines in the base game.
Besides standard card symbols and all sorts of Egyptian themed animals you will also find wild and scatter symbols on reels. There are also scarab symbols on reels 2 and 4 during the base game, but those will be explained below.

Like I mentioned above, scarab symbols can appear on reels 2 and 4 in the base game. Each modifier that appears will award a free respin where one of three random modifiers become active. So if both land, you will activate 2 different modifiers during the respin
- Random Wilds – After the reels spin a random number of wils symbols are added to the reels
- Expanding Reels – The reels will grow 6 symbols in size, increasing the number of lines to 50
- Multiplier Wilds – All wild symbols will have a x2 multiplier. These don’t multiply each other

3, 4 and 5 scatter symbols will award 8, 12 and 20 free spins respectively.
During free spins the scarab symbol can now also appear on reel 3, making it possible to get all three modifiers at the same time during a respin. Also modifiers seem to happen more often during free spins.
Wil multipliers can now also become x3, x5 or even x10, depending on which modifiers are active and where they land.

Verdict
Nile Fortune is a fun game, but also one that might be skipped easy. Mainly because of that very overused theme. All those Pragmatic Play slots begin to look alike in my opinion.
The modifiers is what makes the game, especially if you get 2 or even all 3 at the same time, almost guaranteeing a big win.
But then the maximum payout is half of that they use for most their games, 2.500 times bet. Which is also a bit of a shame, because this game could have easily worked with a higher maximum payout
Overall Nile Fortune is a fine game, but also one that might be forgotten rather quickly.
