Last year Pragmatic Play released a new slot game called Sugar Rush. Which uses a colorful candy theme. And now over 6 months later, they released a game called Mochimon. Which is the exact same theme, but with a different theme.
For this new version they went with mochimon. Which I had to look up. But it’s a baby level Digimon from the Nature Spirit class. Just so you know.
But as you might guess, this version os focused on the Japanese, Asian market. Which more providers do with popular games.
Mochimon comes with a grid of 7×7 symbols. And any 5 or more of the same symbols, horizontally or vertically connected, count as a winning combination.
Winning symbols are removed and all symbols fall down into the empty spots, new symbols fall on top and you can get another win. This keeps continuing as long as you get a winning combination.
There are no wild symbols on this game, but scatter symbols appear on every reel.
Mochimon has a maximum payout of 5.000 times your bet.
Multiplier Spots Feature
This feature is active in both the base game and during free spins.
When winning symbols are removed from the grid it leaves behind a spot. When another winning symbol is removed from that spot, it will receive a x2 multiplier. And this will double each time the spot is used in a winning combination. Up to a maximum of 128x.
Multiplier spots will be added together when they are used in a winning combination.
These spots stay in play until no more winning combinations appear.
Free Spins Feature
3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 scatter symbols will award 10, 12, 15, 20 and 30 free spins respectively.
During free spins the Multiplier Spots will stay on the grid until the end of the free spins bonus. And can only go up in multiplier. Still with the maximum of x128.
3 or more scatter symbols during free spins will add more free spins.
Some casinos will offer the option to buy the free spins feature for 100 times your bet. This will guarantee 3 scatter symbols, but more are possible.
Like I mentioned before, this game is an exact copy of an earlier title. Just another theme. So it depends on which theme you like most to pick which one you prefer.
The gameplay itself is solid and a lot of fun. Those multiplier spots can give some great wins when you are lucky to increase them. Of course this is easier during free spins, were the game shines even more. Increasing those multiplier spots can be really exciting. Especially when you are hoping for a good combination on some big multipliers.
I like this game a lot. For the theme, I really don’t know anything about Digimon, except that it’s something to do with trading cards. But I do like this anime theme.
