The Wish Master Megaways Overview
Back in 2014 NetEnt released a game called The Wish Master. This game used an amazing theme and, for the time, a very unique type of bonuses. And was also a huge hit!
Now, almost 10 years later they have released a Megaways version of this game, with the same name, The Wish Master Megaways.
Almost everything about the game has stayed the same, the symbols and also the bonus features, with one change. But now, of course, with Megaways instead of lines. I will compare a lot of this Megways version to the original, so if you want to know more about that release, check out my The Wish Master review.
This version uses 6 reels that are between 2 and 7 symbols high during each spin. Giving a maximum of 117.649 ways per spin
Just like the original you will find standard card symbols and 4 high paying symbols, which seems to be like some sort of animal idols or masks even. Never really know how to describe them.
Besides these symbols there is also a magic lamp scroll symbol, which can appear on all reels and will trigger a bonus. Wild symbols are also used on this game, but they only appear because of bonus features.
The Wish Master Megaways comes with a huge maximum payout of 27.018 times your bet. The original only went to 4.500.

Reactions
Winning combinations are removed and all remaining symbols fall down. New symbols than fall on top and can create the option for another win. This keeps happening until no more new winning combinations appear.
Wish Master Features
When a Magic Lamp Scroll appears it will let the genie out of its lamp and it will trigger a random modifier for the next 5 spins.
These modifiers are:
- Extra Wild – one of the high paying symbols is randomly chosen and all these instances appearing will now change into a wild symbol
- Wild Reel – the reel that had the Magic Lamp Scroll will become completely wild with the same number of symbols on the reel
- Multiplier – a multiplier will become active of x2 or x3, when you have both of them active, it will become a total of x6
- Random Wild – between 2 and 5 random wild symbols will be added to the reels after each spin
If a new scroll lands when a modifier is still active, it will be added and the number of spins are reset to 5. A maximum of 3 modifiers can be active at the same time, if a 4th one would appear, the first one triggered would be removed.
(The original version had a 5th modifier, which was an expanding wild, this has been removed from the Megaways version)
Verdict
Let me start by saying that I was a huge fan or the original game. And since they haven’t changed a lot, I’m also a huge fan of this Megaways version.
The theme is just amazing. It all looks very cool and it also used a great soundtrack. It’s magical, but also a bit dark, which works great.
Of course this Megaways version is a little different, but hardly. The maximum payout has been increases a lot, which is always great. And of course we now have reactions, which is used on Megaways slots a lot. The last thing is the 5th modifier, which has been removed. I don’t know why, but they have.
If you liked the original, you will definitely like this version. If you don’t know the original, be sure to check this one out. It’s really a great game.
