Pragmatic Play has released a new online slot game called Raging Waterfall Megaways.
And as the name suggests, it revolves around a waterfall, which is seen in the background. But everything else looks like an underwater themes game, with fish, oysters and crabs, so the theme is a little confusing to be honest.
You will find 6 reels that are each between 2 and 7 symbols high during each spin. And above reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 an extra row of symbols. This setup is pretty standard for most Megaways slots and can award up to 117.649 Megaways per spin.
Winning combinations are removed from the reels and new symbols fall on top and/or slide into the top row. Creating the option for another win, within the same spin. This keeps continuing until no new winning combinations appears.
Besides low paying gem symbols and medium to high paying underwater symbols, you will also find scatter symbols on all reels. Wild symbols can appear on all reels except the first reel during base spins (during free spins, wilds also don’t appear on the last reel).

Multi Chance Feature
On your initial spin, before any wins, if there are matching symbols on reels 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, but not on reel 1, you will trigger the Multi Chance Feature. All reels, except the first reel are held and reel 1 will re-spin and will always show 7 symbols when it stops landing.
Free Spins Feature
4 scatter symbols will award 8 free spins and 2 more free spins for every scatter after the initial 4.
During free spins, each scatter symbol appearing will award one of 4 random modifiers.

Multi Chance Feature is also upgraded during free spins. Now reels 1 and 6 will re-spin when they are missing winning symbols and it can also trigger after a winning reaction.

Verdict
Raging Waterfall Megaways is a fun game.
The setup is pretty basic, the number of ways and the collapsing symbols.
What’s a bit different is the fact that during free spins the multiplier goes up by revealing it on scatter symbols, not after each winning combination, as a lot of Megaways slots do.
But somehow this is also a bit of a negative. Because you really want that multiplier to go up, to get some decent wins. And sometimes those scatters just don’t appear.
So I’m a bit conflicted about this slot.
