Play’n Go is also joining the bandwagon with the collection slot games. Those games where symbols have cash values which are collected by other symbols, like all this Big Bass Bonanza slots from Pragmatic Play for instance.
These slots seem to be popping up each month. I personally am getting a bit tired of them, but I’m guessing they’re very popular still.
Play’n Go when with a theme where a gang of dogs try to steal the wealth from a big cat. And it’s all set in London, England. With the reel set inside the van used to complete the heist.
The game uses 5 reels that are each 3 symbols high and comes with 10 lines.
Besides standard card symbols you will also find all sorts of luxury cat items. But there are also cat symbols with small diamonds, which are the symbols you want to collect. There are collection symbols, which are the dogs and there are scatter symbols on all reels, which is a fat cat.
Ruff Heist comes with a maximum payout of 5.000 times your bet. And is a high volatile slot game.

Dog Collect Feature
Diamond cash symbols can appear on all reels and have a value of 2x, 3x, 4x, 6x, 8x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 30x and 5.000x bet. Dog collect symbols only appear on reel 5 during the base game. When a Dog Collect symbol appears, it will collect all Diamond Cash symbols in view.
There are three types of dogs, which all collect the Diamond Cash symbols in a different way.
- Badge – Collects all Diamond Cash symbols as they are
- T-Bone – Will increase the value of all Diamond Cash symbols before collecting them
- Archie – Will increase the value of all Diamond Cash symbols before collecting them and can repeat this between 1 and 5 times
Free Spins Feature
3, 4 or 5 scatter symbols will award 10, 15 and 20 free spins respectively.
The Dog Collect symbols can now appear on all reels and more than one can appear at the same time.
On top of the reel you will find a trail with three levels. Each Dog Collect symbol that appears is added to the trail. Each time you have collected 4 of them, you will upgrade the dog (you start with Badge, then T-Bone and finally Archie). You are also awarded with 10 extra free spins when you reach a new level.
Also there is a vault above the reels. Each spin the value of this vault will be increased by x1, x2, x5 or x10 times bet. If you manage to reach the end of the trail and open up all levels, you are also awarded the total value of the vault.
Verdict
Like I mentioned when I started this post, these types of games seem to be very popular and new ones keep being released a lot.
Ruff Heist is a nice addition, especially because of the three types of dogs, which get better each time you reach a new level during free spins. This is a nice addition. But to be honest, it’s also not new, or different enough to really make an impact.
Again, I’m getting a bit tired of these types of games. But if you aren’t like me and still enjoy these games, I think you might also enjoy Ruff Heist.
