Santa’s Xmas Rush – Overview
Pragmatic Play is releasing several Christmas themed games this year, after Big Bass Xmas Xtreme and Penguins Christmas Party Time, it’s now time for Santa’s Xmas Rush. A more classic Christmas looking game.
This game uses a grid of 6 by 6 symbols and comes with a cluster pays mechanism. Any combination of 6 or more of the same symbols that are connected horizontally and/or vertically, count as a winning combination. It also uses cascading symbols, or tumbles. Winning symbols are removed and new symbols fall on top, creating the option for several wins in a row.
Besides different colored Christmas baubles as low paying symbols and other Christmas symbols as high paying symbols, you will also find scatter symbols. Which are snow globes and appear on all reels. Lastly we have Santa, which comes into play during a feature explained below and he can also appear on all reels.
Santa’s Xmas Rush comes with a solid maximum payout of 10.000 times your bet and is a high volatile slot game.

Xmas Rush Feature
During the base spins, between 3 and 8 random snowflakes might appear on spots on the reels, behind normal symbols.
When all tumbles are done and you have at least 1 Santa symbol, all these spots will spin and award a random cash reward of between 0,5 and 2.500 times bet. A spot can also land on a re-spin symbol, which will collect all cash values and then re-spin all symbols again.
If more than one Santa symbol appears on the reels, the money values are multiplied by the number of Santa’s on screen.
Free Spins Feature
4, 5, 6 or 7 scatter symbols will award 10, 14, 18 and 22 free spins respectively.
During free spins snowflakes aren’t added at random, but when you get a winning combination, it might leave behind a snowflake on a random spot where the symbols are removed.
Also Snowflakes will stay on the reels on their respective spots until the end of the feature, so you can only get more.
Free spins can’t trigger more free spins.
Buy Bonus
Some casinos will offer the option to buy the free spins feature for 120x your bet. This will award a minimum of 4 scatter symbols.
Verdict
I think Santa’s Xmas Rush is a fun game, I really enjoyed it.
The base game is decent, but kept interesting with the snowflakes. But I especially like free spins. It’s just fun seeing more and more of those snowflakes and then getting 1 or more Santa’s.
And the spots can award some big prizes. Like you see in my screenshot.
Overall it’s a solid Christmas release with a fun theme, nice soundtrack and good gameplay. No complains here.
