Play’n Go released two new slot games this week. The other game, Muerto en Mictlãn, will be reviewed in a separate post. Muerto en Mictlán, new from Play’n Go.
The one I’m talking about here is Sparky & Shortz.
Sparky & Shortz comes with 5 reels, each 3 symbols high and uses an alien and robots theme. The game also features wild symbols on all reels and scatter symbols on reels 1, 3 and 5.
Increasing Multiplier
If one or more full reels of the same symbol appear on the reels, the multiplier will go up by x1 for each of the full reels.
On the left of the reels is a special meter which goes from +2, +3, +4, +5 up to +10.
On any spin this meter can be activated and then full reels will have the associated multiplier. So instead of increasing by x1, it will increase by x2, x3, x4, x5, or x10 for each full reel.
Multiplier is reset after each spin.
Free Spins Feature
If you get all three scatter symbols at the same time you will be awarded with 10 free spins.
The boost meter on the left is always active on every spin and the increasing multiplier will never reset between spins.
When you get 3 scatter symbols during free spins you will get an additional 5 free spins. Up to maximum of 100 free spins on total.
Verdict
Sparky & Shortz is not the most innovating slot game. It only uses 10 lines, stacked symbols and increasing multipliers. We’ve seen this before.
But I do think the game looks nice and has a fun theme. And it also does not mean that this game can not give some amazing wins. Especially during free spins bonus.
I think Sparky & Shortz is a fine game, which could have been a bit more interesting maybe. But it is a game I will give a try once in a while.
