Play’n Go released a new online slot game called Stompin’ Gold.
The game revolves around Bigfoot and in this case even two of them called Biggie and Boogie. And a camper walking around looking for them. Se reels are set within a woods and camping ground. Which does make for a fun theme.
The game uses 5 reels which are each 3 symbols high and comes with 20 paylines.
Besides low paying card symbols and medium to high paying camping symbols, you will also find wild symbols on all reels. There are no scatter or bonus symbols, but there are coins which can also land on all reels.
Stompin’ Gold comes with a huge maximum payout of 50.000 times your bet and is a high volatile slot game.
Features
Mystery Symbols
Mystery symbols can land during any base spin. If normal paying symbols are revealed, they will all be the same symbol. But there is also a chance that individual mystery symbols will reveal a wild or Bounty Coin.
Biggie and Boogie Wilds
Biggie and Boogie are the two bigfoot and can appear on top of the reels during each spin, one or the other, or both.
When they are present and wild symbols land, those wilds are upgraded. If Biggie is present, all wilds become expanding wilds. If Boogie is present, all wilds will get a multiplier of between x2 and x100. When both Biggie and Boogie are present, all wilds become expanding wilds with a random multiplier. Multipliers are added together when more than one appears in a winning combination.
Hold’N Grow
Bounty Coins can land on any spin or be revealed by mystery symbols.
They come with a cash value of between 1 and 5 times bet. Or one of the jackpot amounts listed on the left of the reels.
4 or more Bounty Coins will trigger the Hold’N Grow feature. The triggering Bounty Coins are carried over to the feature.
The feature can also be triggered at random when at least 1 coin appears.
You will receive a basic Hold & Spin feature with 3 re-spins. Each time a new coin lands, the re-spins reset back to 3. Collecting enough coins will increase the number of rows, giving more spots to land coins.
Bonus Bounty Coins can also appear, this will trigger a small Hold & Spin bonus with 4 spots and the coin will take the value of that mini game.
The Hold’N Grow feature ends when you run out of spins or fill all positions.
Verdict
Stompin’ Gold is a fun slot game which comes with a huge maximum payout. But to be honest, how realistic that payout is, I’m not sure.
The theme is nicely done and looks good. The two Bigfoot characters are a nice added bonus, especially when both are present and you happen to have several wild symbols.
Of course the main feature is the Hold & Spin feature. Which, to be honest, is nothing new. We have seen these types of bonuses a lot. And I know they are still popular, but don’t expect anything new.
Overall I think it’s a nicely done game, but I also think it’s one of those games you won’t be playing after a couple of months. It’s a bit forgettable.
