Pragmatic Play released a new online slot game called The Big Dawgs.
This game comes with a dog theme. But in a sort of East Coast style, like you would see in LA. It’s all in a specific style that feels familiar. With a sort of gangsta dogs with bandanas on a backstreet with all sorts of graffiti. Somehow the dog theme seems to work for online slot games.
The game uses 5 reels that are each 5 symbols high. Winning combinations consist of 3 or more of the same symbols horizontally or vertically connected, no matter where on the reels.
And the game also uses cascading symbols, so winning symbols are removed and all other symbols fall down into the empty spots. No new symbols are added though. It’s very similar to Moon Princess Trinity or any of the other Moon Princess titles from Play’n Go.
There are no scatter or bonus symbols and wild symbols only appear because of symbols being removed.

Wild symbols
Winning combinations are removed from the screen. When low paying symbols are removed they leave behind a normal wild symbol. When high paying dog symbols are removed they leave behind a Multi Wild symbol, which comes with x2 multiplier.
Colossal Wild symbol
At random during any new spin a 2×2 or 3×3 colossal wild symbol might appear.
Screen Clear Multiplier
If during a spin you manage to clear the entire screen of symbols, or only leave behind wild symbols, a random multiplier of x2, x3 or x5 is applied to the total win.
Free Spins Features
The word DAWGS is hidden on the reels underneath the symbols, horizontally and vertically. Fully reveal one or both words because of winning symbols being removed will trigger a free spins feature.

This will trigger when you uncover DAWGS once.
You will be awarded with 5 free spins. During each spin a multiplier starts at x1, which will increase by x1 after each winning tumble. After a free spin, after all tumbles are done, the multiplier is reset back to x1 for the next free spin.
Revealing DAWGS one time during a free spin will add 5 more free spins. Revealing both DAWGS during a free spins will trigger Double Dawg Free Spins after current free spins are done.

Verdict
This game feels very familiar because the way you trigger the bonus is a lot like for instance Moon Princess or Golden Ticket, both by Play’n Go. Even the leaving behind of wild symbols when winning symbols are removed os the same.
But Pragmatic Play has added enough to make the game unique and a lot of fun.
