Tomb of Gold Reimagined – Overview
Play’n Go released Tomb of Gold back in 2024 and gave that game a sequel in 2025 with Tomb of Gold 2. Now they have added a third title called Tomb of Gold Reimagined. So I’m guessing they either really like this game or it’s a very popular title. And to be honest, I think it’s the former.
For this third installment they uses the same Egyptian theme with a lot of the same types of symbols. Where the reels are set within a lit tomb. Which makes for a good looking game, but also another Egyptian themed game. Of which we have plenty.
You will find 6 reels that are each 4 symbols high and the game comes with 4096 ways instead of lines.
Besides low paying card symbols and medium to high paying Egyptian themed symbols, you will also find wilds symbols on all reels. Wilds can come with a random multiplier of x2 and x3. Lastly there are three different scatter symbols, blue, red and purple, which are collected into the “pots” above the reels. Yes, it’s one of those 3-pot slot games.
Tomb of Gold Reinmagined comes with a pretty decent maximum payout of 10.000 times bet and is a low volatile slot game.
Features
Lock’n Gold
Each time one or more gems appear they are collected into the corresponding pots on top of the reels. At random it might activate the specific pot, or pots. Triggering 4 re-spins.
During re-spins, only coins and scatters appear. each time a new symbol appears, re-spins are reset back to 4. All coins are held and scatters will trigger the bonus below, if active, or activate the bonus.
Depending on which pot activates, determines the bonus that is active. If more than one pot is activated, the bonuses are combined.
- Blue Double Horus – Each time a blue scatter appears it will select between 1 and 3 coins, doubling their value.
- Red Serpent’s Surge – Each time a red scatter appears it will select 1 coin and increase its value between each new re-spin.
- Purple Bonus of Anubis – Each time a purple scatter appears it will add 1 spot onto a random jackpot, collect 3 of the same and instantly win that jackpot.
Verdict
Tomb of Gold reimagined is pretty much the same game as the other two titles, but with the added three pots features and instead of 3, you now get 4 re-spins.
And although it might sound pretty cool, that you now have 3 different features that can be active during the re-spins. During play, it wasn’t really that exciting.
The coin values are low, so without the special scatters, the bonus doesn’t really pay that much. And the only way to really get some big wins, seems to be with the purple scatters and getting a bigger jackpot. But during play, I never seemed to be able to fill even the lowest jackpot.
I am not sure why this game was released? The theme has been done to death and the gameplay, basically is the same as the other titles. And to be honest, the other titles weren’t that popular to begin with, at least from what I noticed.
