Play’n Go released a new online slot game called Treats of Terror.
This new game uses a pretty cute and colorful looking theme of a movie theater, even though it’s has terror in the name, their isn’t much terrifying at all. But it does have a very distinctive look which works.
The game uses 5 reels that are each 5 symbols high and comes with scatter pays instead of paylines. 6 or more of the same symbols, anywhere on screen, count as a winning combination. And you will also find tumbles, or cascading symbols. So winning symbols are removed and all other symbols fall down, then new symbols fall on top, creating an option for another win.
Besides low paying card symbols on candies and high paying symbols which are the snacks, you will also find scatter symbols on all reels, these are movie tickets. Then there is a collector symbol that can appear and there are coin or money symbols, which also appear on all reels.
Treats of Terror comes with a nice maximum payout of 10.000 times your bet and is a high volatile slot game.

Collection
Coin symbols can appear on all reels in both the base game and during free spins. These coins come with values of between 1x and 10x bet, or one of the 4 jackpot amounts, 25x, 100x, 250x and 1000x.
When one or more Collector symbols appear with one or more of these coins, all values are collected. If more than one Collector appears, they will all collect all coin values.
Free Spins Features
3, 4 or 4 scatter symbols will award 8, 13 and 18 free spins respectively.
Free spins starts with a x2 multiplier. Each scatter symbol appearing will be collected into a meter. Collect 5 and you will get another 5 free spins and the multiplier will go to x3. Collect another 5 in this stage and you get another 5 free spins and the multiplier goes up to x5. After this, no more extra free spins can be won.
The multiplier applies to all wins, including collection wins.
Verdict
When I started up this game I thought, interesting theme, I wonder what this game will offer. Then, to be honest, a little disappointed. Because Treats of Terror is a pretty basic collection slot game, disguised in a more interesting Scatter Pays slot.
But it’s almost the same as any Big Bass slot. Collect scatters, instead of wilds to move up to get better multipliers and more free spins. And that’s it.
It really isn’t a very interesting game. Except for the theme. Which is a bit of a shame.
