Wild Falls 2 Overview
Back in 2019 Play’n Go released a gold rush themed slot game called Wild Falls. And now, more than three years later, they have released a sequel, Wild Falls 2.
This new slot game uses an almost identical theme of the famous gold Rush. With a river full of chests that can drop down onto the reels at any time.
But this sequel does offer more than the original. Like for instance bigger reels and bigger multipliers. More on that later.
The base game is played on 5 reels that are each 3 symbols high and comes with 20 lines.
You will find standard card symbols and all sorts if mining gear. There are no scatter or bonus symbols. The wild symbols are the chests floating in the river and can become active during bonuses.
Wild Falls 2 comes with a maximum payout of 15.000 times your bet. The original came with a maximum payout of 10.000 times bet, so that’s increased.
Wild Falls 2 Features
Rapid Respins
Chests that float above reels 2, 3 and 4 can fall down onto any reel at random. They become wild symbols. When 1 or 2 of these chests are on the reels you will trigger a respin.
Each chest will also increase the reels by 1 row.
After this you get a respin where the wild or wilds are held. You can land more chests during respins.
Gold Rush
At random the Gold Rush feature can trigger. All chests will now become golden chests. Golden chests will have a random multiplier of x2, x3, x4 or x5 and are combined when more than one are used in a winning combination. So a maximum of x125 with three x5 chests.
The Rapid Respins can also trigger with golden chests.
Free Spins Features
You can trigger two different free spins features. River of Gold free spins and Super River of Gold free spins, depending if you trigger the free spins feature with normal or golden chests. During free spins you are playing with 5 rows of symbols and 40 lines.
- River of Gold – triggered when 3 normal chests are on the reels. During free spins chests stick onto the reels and move down one position after each spin until they fall off the reel. New chests can land during the free spins, including gold chests. Free spins feature ends when there are no more chests on the reels.
- Super River of Gold – triggered when 3 gold chests are on the reels. The free spins work the same as the normal free spins but all chests will stay gold and will have multipliers. Also when a gold chest moves down a spot on the reels it will increase the multiplier by x1, to a maximum of x9. Free spins feature ends when there are no more chests on the reels.
Verdict
Play’n Go stayed pretty true to the original game. At first I was even thinking, what’s the difference? But there are differences. First the increasing reels during the respins and also during free spins. But also the fact that golden chests can now increase their multipliers.
This also means the maximum payout is bigger on this sequel.
But the game also has the same problem the original has. You want those golden chests and you want free spins with golden chests. And because this is all random, it sometimes can become frustrating when this just doesn’t trigger.
The free spins without golden chests can become a bit boring after a while. But when they are golden, the game is very exciting.
