It’s time for a new online slot game by Thunderkick. And it seems they took some inspiration from the 1996 cult movie Mars Attacks!, calling this game Zap Attack.
The reels are set in the desert of Roswell, but now cleverly called Rosswealth. And it seems to be set in the 50’s. Like with all Thunderkick games, it’s very colorful.
The game uses 5 reels that are each 5 symbols high and uses 25 lines.
Besides standard card symbols, you will also find 4 different characters and an alien. On top of that there are bonus symbols on all reels in the form of a television. And there normal and special invading wilds.
All standard symbols can appear stacked on all reels.
Zap Attack comes with a maximum payout of 5.000 times your bet and is a high volatile slot game.

Invading Wilds
Besides normal wild symbols there are also Invading Wild symbols.
When one or more of these Invading Wilds appear and a win is possible, the wild symbol will expand to cover the entire reel. It will also get a random multiplier of x2, x3, x4 or x5.
If more than one of these wilds is used in a winning combination, the multipliers are multiplied. So 2 times a x5 will become x25.
Free Spins Feature
3, 4 or 5 bonus symbols will award 7, 11 and 15 free spins respectively.
During free spins you will find all 4 main characters on the right, each with 10 steps on a meter. Alien symbols can now have zap guns, when they appear, anywhere, they will zap the characters, starting with the sheriff, waitress, grandma and finally farmer.
When a character is zapped 10 times, all these characters will turn into alien symbols for the remaining of the spins. And once a character becomes an alien, you will also receive 1 extra free spin.
2, 3, 4 and 5 scatter symbols during free spins will add 3, 5, 7 and 9 extra free spins respectively.
Also, even not mentioned in the paytable, during free spins only Invading Wilds appear, no regular wilds.
Bonus Buy
Some casinos will offer the option to buy the free spins feature. For 60, 125 and 250 times your bet you will buy 3, 4 and 5 bonus symbols respectively.
Verdict
I know that I might be a bit biased, because I’m an absolute fan of Thunderkick. I think there games always look amazing and come with some of the best features.
And Zap Attack is no different. Although all features available on this game aren’t anything new. I mean Thunderkick loves these upgrading bonuses. It all works very well together and also fits the theme perfectly.
I don’t have anything negative to say about this game, I think it’s great.
