5 Lions Reborn – Overview
Pragmatic Play has released another addition to their 5 Lions series of slot games. Which already includes games like 5 Lions Megaways 2.
You will find exactly the same theme as all the others, Asian themed animals.
The game uses 5 reels that are each 3 symbols high and comes with 243 ways instead of paylines. So symbols pay adjacently from left to right, starting on reel 1, no matter where on the reels.
Besides low paying card symbols and medium to high paying animal symbols you will also find Lion symbols on reels 2, 3 and 4, which are the wild symbols. Scatter symbols appear on all reels and can appear as normal, golden or as a super scatter.
5 Lions Reborn comes with a maximum payout of 5.000 times bet and is a high volatile slot game.

3 or more scatter symbols from left to right, will award the free spins feature. A golden scatter anywhere on screen can also, at random, award the free spins feature.

Multipliers only apply to wins that contain at least one wild symbol. And each time a wild symbol is used during a win, the multiplier will go up by the same number as the starting multiplier. So a x5, will go to x10, x15 and so on. And at random each wild symbol appearing in a win can also add 1, 2 or 3 extra free spins.
Super Free Spins
When you hit a Super Scatter, you can randomly be awarded the Super Free Spins. This will award 20 free spins with a x15 starting multiplier. The rest of the bonus plays out the same as above.

For 80 times your bet you are able to buy the free spins feature and for 500 times your bet you are able to but the Super Free Spins feature.
Verdict
5 Lions Reborn feels like a natural progression of the series. A lot, in fact, almost everything remains the same. What players like. But they have now added those multipliers that increase by a set increment each time it is used. Which I personally think is a great feature.
Those multipliers can go up very fast, especially when starting with a bigger one. And there seems to be no limit mentioned.
I was always a big fan of 5 Lions, which is of course based upon the original 5 Dragons slots by Aristocrat. And although the Megaways versions weren’t really my thing, this Reborn version definitely is.
