I know what you might think. Another “Book of” slot game. We’ve seen enough of these games already. The game comes with a dragon and knight theme. With standard card symbols and all sorts of armour to fight the dragon. The knight is the highest paying symbol. And of course there are also book symbols, with a big dragon’s eye on it. This symbol acts as wild, but also as scatter symbol.
Book of Dragons uses 5 reels, each 3 symbols high and uses 10 lines.
Book of Dragons Features
Expanding wild respins
When one or two book symbols land on the reels you at random might trigger this feature.
The book or books will expand to cover the entire reels, making the entire reel wild. After this you will get paid and the wild reel or reels are held.
All other reels spin and you can land more books, which will also expand and trigger another respin.
If no new books land the feature ends. When you have at least 3 of them, you will trigger the free spins feature.
Free Spins Feature
3, 4 or 5 scatter symbols will award 10, 15 and 30 free spins respectively.
Before free spins start one random regular symbol is picked as special expanding symbol.
This symbol will expand to cover the entire reel and will pay on any reel, they don’t have to appear from the first reel on.
3 or more scatter symbols will award extra free spins.
The expanding books/wilds can also appear during free spins feature.
The Bonus Wheel
When the random symbol is picked when you triggered free spins, it can also land on a special page.
When it lands on this page it will transfer you to a bonus wheel and you will get 3 spins on the wheel.
This wheel will award prizes up to 100 times bet or extra spins on the wheel. There is also a jackpot amount of 300x, 500x or 1000x your bet, depending on how many scatter symbols triggered the bonus.
Verdict
As I started with, there are a lot of “Book of” slots out there. And most of them are pretty standard. But I’m glad Book of Dragons is a bit different.
First you have the expanding books that give respins and can trigger the free spins after that. But you also have that bonus wheel instead of free spins can award some huge rewards.
I think the game is different enough from standard “Book of” games to give it a try.
