Play’n Go released Moon Princess in 2017 and has since then released several versions of the game, like for instance Moon Princess 100 and Moon Princess Trinity. All these only used the three princesses as characters. Now they have released another version which introduces two men. So it seems that one of the princesses is trying to find love.
The game keeps a lot of the same mechanisms, but is different then the other titles.
Moon Princess – Power of Love is played on a grid of 5 by 5 symbols. Winning combinations consists of 3, 4 or 5 of the same symbols horizontally or vertically. No matter where on the grid.
Winning symbols are removed and all other symbols fall down. This can create multiple wins within the same spin.
Moon Princess – Power of Love comes with a maximum payout of 15.000 times your bet.
Features
Wild symbols
When a winning combination of exactly three symbols is removed, the middle symbol will leave behind a wild symbol.
Increasing Multiplier
After each cascade the multiplier will go up by x1. And can go up to a maximum of x100.
Character Powers
On any non winning spin the character on screen can trigger and award one of the following random features:
- Love – will change all of the same symbol into another random symbol
- Blaze – will add between 2 and 4 of the same symbols on the grid, these are always symbols already present
- Hail – will select a reel and copy that reel left or right onto the other reel
Love Triangle
Next to the grid you will find a meter that consists of three parts. Any winning combination of 3, 4 or 5 princess symbols will fill the meter with 1, 2 or 3 spots respectively.
When you fill the meter you will get 1 free spin where each character will activate its feature, one after the other. If you manage to clear the entire grid during this bonus you will trigger the free spins feature.
Free Spins Feature
You are awarded with 4 free spins. Before spins start pick either Blaze or Hail.
On every non winning spin the chosen character will award their feature and Love will then perform her feature.
Each time you manage to fill the Love Triangle meter, you are awarded with 3 extra free spins, up to 100.
The general multiplier doesn’t reset between spins and can go up to x100.
Verdict
Somehow Play’n Go keeps going with these Moon Princess slots. It must be a popular series. And I understand why.
I like that they now decides to also add male characters. It makes for a nice story overall. But overall the game looks very similar to all other titles.
The main mechanisms are also the same, cascading symbols, extra wild symbols, the increasing multiplier and even the special bonus when you fill the meter. Free spins are also the same. But what is different, is the fact that two new characters are introduced with their own features. And the chosen character and Love both activate during free spins.
It makes for another solid title from Play’n Go, that will definitely make Moon Princess slot lovers happy.
