Back in 2020 Thunderkick started their series of Beat the Beast slots with the release of Kraken’s Liar. Later games like Quetzalcoatl’s Liar and finishing with Griffin’s Gold. After this is stayed quiet for about 3 years. But now it seems the have ignited the series again with their latest title Dragon’s Wrath.
As the name implies, the game uses a dragon theme.
The game uses 5 reels that are each 3 symbols high and comes with 9 lines.
Besides standard low paying card symbols you will also find different dragon themed items like a ring and sword and of course a dragon itself. Besides all these normal paying symbols there are also scatter symbols that also count as wild symbols. These can appear on all reels.

Scatter/Wilds
Like I mentioned above. Wilds and scatters are the same symbols.
Each wild symbol appearing comes with a x2 multiplier. Winning combination with one or more wild symbols will be multiplied. More than one wild symbol will add multipliers together.
Free Spins Feature
Three scatter symbols will award 3 free spins.
During free spins the triggering symbols will become roaming wild symbols that start with a x2 multiplier. These will move to a new spot on the reels before each spin.
When you get a winning combination that uses at least 1 wild symbol, you will be awarded with 1 more free spin.
Also the roaming wilds start with a x2 multiplier. But when a wild symbol is used the current multiplier of that wild symbol will be randomly added to one of the other wild symbols.
A wild can have a maximum multiplier of x50.

Verdict
I’m very happy Thunderkick decides to start this series up again. I love these Beat the Beast slots.
I like the themes and the features. And each of them comes with their own unique bonuses. But somehow they manage to feel like they really belong into the series.
Dragon’s Wrath fits perfectly and again comes with a great free spins feature. The roaming wilds with big multiplier can award some huge wins. And I like that each win with a wild adds 1 more free spin. Although starting off with only 3 does feel a bit tight.
