Sakura Princess 2 Overview
Back in 2017 Quickspin released their Asian themed game Sakura Princess. A 40 payline slot with stacked wilds that could nudge and a free spins feature with sticky wilds.
The game was pretty successful, so it’s no surprise they are reprising that title now with Sakura Princess 2. Which is a pumped up version of the original, with some great changes.
Sakura Princess uses almost exactly the same theme. With different Asian characters, including Princess Sakura as wild. And different colored coins.
The game uses 5 reels that are 3, 4, 4, 4, and 3 symbols high and comes with a total of 576 ways.
Wild symbols appear stacked on reels 2, 3 and 4. And scatter symbols, which are swords, appear on all reels.
Sakura Princess 2 comes with several features and also has a pretty big maximum payout of 19.664 times your bet.
Sakura Princess 2 Features
Nudge and Respin
Wild symbols appear on reels 2, 3 and 4. When one or more lands partially in view, there is a chance they nudge to cover the whole reel.
Each wild symbol covering a full reel, either after a nudge, or instantly, will award a respin where the wild symbols stay locked on the reels, like a sticky wild.
Fortune Free Spins
Getting three scatter symbols on reels 2, 3 and 4 will trigger a respin. The scatter symbols are held and reels 1 and 5 respin, with only scatter symbols appearing. Giving you the chance to get 4 or 5 scatter symbols and this way upgrading your free spins feature.
3, 4 or 5 scatter symbols will award the following:
- 3 scatters will award 9 Free Spins.
- 4 scatters will award 10 Free Spins with 1 locked Wild reel.
- 5 scatters will award 11 Free Spins with 2 locked Wild reels.
During free spins, when a wild symbol appears it will always nudge to cover the entire reel. And will lock in place and stay there until the end of the free spins. It will also add 1 more free spin. If you manage to get all three wild symbols on reels 2, 3 and 4, all wins will be multiplied by x3.
Some casinos will offer the option to buy the free spins feature. Buying 3, 4 or 5 scatter symbols will cost you 55, 70 and 320 times your bet respectively.
The basis of Sakura Princess 2 is almost the same as the original game. They have used the same theme and also kept the stacked wild symbols, nudge feature, respins and sticky wilds during free spins.
But somehow this one does feel a lot more exciting than the original. This is partially due to the fact that the game now comes with 576 ways, instead of only 40 lines. And the fact that getting all three wilds during free spins will add that x3 multiplier. This massively increases the maximum payout on this game.
It’s also great that you are now able to buy the feature.
Overall, Sakura Princess 2 might not be a totally new game but does draw me in and is one I rather play than the original.
